Adam had a bumpy night Thursday night; one of his wound packs broke and they had to move him around a bunch to get it taken care of. He was suppose to have surgery on his right leg today but we had somewhat of setback Friday afternoon. Adam had a seizure and its not clear the cause. They did a CT scan of his head and did not see any problems. The best "guess" at the moment is that it is due to a certain medicine or a combination of medicine. They have started him on an anti-seizure medicine to try to prevent another occurrence. Adam is still not really talking (before or after the seizure) and the doctors or a bit concerned about it but not overly so. It could be several causes, e.g. pain in his throat, not being ready to talk, etc. They will be trying to work on different ways to address this in the coming days. We do not have a clear date when they may due surgery on the right leg.

I only hope it brings it home to us all what is happening. I have read twenty a day such as my nephew are returning to the US. I do not know if this is correct.

As much as this hurts to say under the circumstances - DAMMIT just DAMMIT!!!! Fucking doctors - give you some "medicine" (drug) which they KNOW has "side effects", and "remedy" those "side effects" with some other "medication" (drug) which has more "side effects"... Dear God... Tom, I feel for you so much. This has to be so excruciating... Thoughts and prayers are with you, Adam, and your family every day.

I was speaking of your nephew today with a man I met who has lost one son and two nephews in the war. This report of a seizure is most disturbing, and I'm so sorry. Adam has been through too much and this additional trauma is terribly upsetting to me. This tragedy must be taking its toll on all of you, and I hope the family has help coping with this ghastly ordeal.
All I can say is that poor guy and his family, how they must be suffering so. And this same situation is being repeated among thousands, and for what? It's just so sad, I will continue to pray for him.

Some are harder to bring home than others. I have read twenty a day such as my nephew are returning to the US. Twenty and climbing, no doubt. Onwards and upwards, thanks to fascist freaks like can of corn. Thanks for the update, Tom. There will no doubt be many setbacks along the way. May your nephew find the strength to fight through and overcome every one.
