Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines. Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and Tom Tancredo will participate.

Ron Paul, however, will not participate. Why? Because he wasn’t invited.

We heard about this forum from numerous supporters in Iowa who asked why Dr. Paul was not going to participate. Those supporters assumed that Dr. Paul was invited.

The campaign office had not received an invitation so we called this morning; thinking we might have misplaced the invitation or simply overlooked it. Lew Moore, our campaign manager, called Mr. Edward Failor, an officer of Iowans for Tax Relief, to ask about it. To our shock, Mr. Failor told us Dr. Paul was not invited; he was not going to be invited; and he would not be allowed to participate. And when asked why, Mr. Failor refused to explain. The call ended.

Lew then called Mr. Steve Sheffler, president of the Iowa Christian Alliance, to talk with him. Mr. Sheffler did not answer so Lew left a message. He has yet to respond.

Why are the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluding the one Republican candidate who scored at the top of every online poll taken after the MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN debates? Why are they denying Iowans the opportunity to hear from the Republican presidential candidate whose popularity is growing by the day?

We couldn’t get answers to these questions from Messrs. Failor and Sheffler. Maybe you’ll have better luck. Their contact information is below.

It's ironic that on the same day we learned the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluded Dr. Paul from their candidates forum, we received a call from ABC News confirming Dr. Paul’s participation in its nationally broadcast August 5th debate to be held in Des Moines.

Idiots. The so-called "tax relief" group EXCLUDES the ONLY candidate dedicated to dismantling the IRS, and the 'Christian' group EXCLUDES the ONLY true 'pro-life' candidate of the bunch. (I define 'pro-life' as opposed to abortion AND war...by that definition; only Dr. Paul qualifies.)

They're Judeo-Christianized blue hairs waiting for Jesus in Jerusalem...These people are easily frightened if the RNC puts the heat on them. Ron's a younger generation vote getter...so in the end, it means nothing.

Therein lies the rub.

Ron Paul is the only candidate not sucking up to Israhell and the Zionazis. The "Rupture" crowd want to kill all the Ragheads so that Jeeeeeeeeeeezusssssss will come and Rupture them to Heben for instigating world wide mass murder. Israhell is central to their corrupted interpretations of the Scriptures which they do not actually follow.

They'll be going somewhere but I suspect the climate will be a little warmer than they are anticipating.

I really do wish I believed in Hell because these Christian Zionazis really desperately need to be sent straight to that destination.

Yes. My hyperbole is just that since I wish no man ill - even they who do ill in ignorance or greed. Still, I wish there was someway to wake them up and return them to a righteous path.

Oh, don't get me wrong I would spare little sympathy for those types as I utterly despise them and their actions. However, despite more than sufficient justification I refuse to hate them, because hate rebounds upon those who indulge in it. Though they have earned it a thousand times over I would not do to them what they have done to others or would do to me had they cause and opportunity (although the insane can manufacture a cause from the nothingness of their own twisted fears and fantabulations). It is a matter of personal philosophy, it is kind of a Buddhist viewpoint, I will not sink to their level even in meting out punishment which would suit their crimes, but only because doing so harms spiritually those handing out the punishments not out of any sympathy for the degraded bastards. Hanging is literally too good for them. However, putting them to work at hard labor under harsh, even savage, conditions and the TLC of a "friendly DI" for the rest of their lives would fit within my parameters and provide some measure of satisfaction that justice was served.

well said and i agree with you for the most part, however, i still maintain that hatred and wrath are appropriate emotions for certain individuals. in truth, i doubt that i could control the emotion even if i wanted to. i'm a very passionate woman. i love hard and i hate hard. ;)

Thank you. I would agree that wrath is often appropriate, but would argue that hate is unnecessary. Two reasons for that: Hate rebounds upon he or she that allows themselves to hate and drags them down. It clouds the mind and distorts judgement. I once found myself in such a position, where I had succumbed to real hatred, and it was one of the most miserable times of my life. The words of an often maligned American Philosopher - the late L. Ron Hubbard, provided a path out. Basically the advice in the essay I read (titled "What is Greatness" - it was published in USA Today during a PR campaign - I saw it as a poster someone had hung up) was that true greatness is to be found in the resistance to the urge to hate, despite the temptations, and despite invitations and real justification to do so. The truth of the words resonated with me, and caused me to discard the hate that was ruining me - not immediately but I did work at it. I can't say that I have a spotless record, but I'm trying.

Passion is a good thing. The world is a tough place and you have to be a Tiger to survive, and even then it is rough. However, caring for others, loving, are the saving graces of our existence and seems to me to be the true path to happiness. I really seriously doubt that the foul bastards we've alluded to have experienced a moment of true happiness in much, if not all, of their lives. They are as much their own enemy as ours, and create for themselves greater tortures than we would devise for them, and they've earned every moment of agony.
