Editorial See other Editorial Articles Title: U.S. Instigating Civil War, Not Spreading Democracy Is the United States still hunting for 9/11 conspirator Osama Bin Laden in its "war on terror?" After the United States failed to find Bin Laden in Afghanistan and weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, we, the American people, were told that we were fighting for democracy and freedom. The Islamic-fascist-jihad terrorists didn't take away our freedoms - the U.S. government did. If U.S. troops were protecting and defending the U.S. Constitution, they would bring the U.S. government to justice. All they are defending are puppet regimes in the Islamic states of Afghanistan and Iraq. After the victory of Hamas in elections in Palestine, the U.S. government did everything it could to ferment civil war in the territory of Palestine. After the election victories of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the U.S. government started supporting al-Qaida extremists to ferment a civil war in Lebanon. Iraq isn't a democracy; it is in a theocratic civil war. The U.S. government is supporting both the Sunnis and Shiites. If two million refugees and hundreds of thousands dead in the civil war in Darfur is a genocide, what do you call the two million refugees and hundreds of thousands dead in the civil war in Iraq? If this was still the land of the free and home of the brave, we, the people, would be camping out in Washington, D.C. We would give the U.S. government, the military and the corporate media two choices. The first would be for them to step down and resign. The second would be to face a revolutionary tribunal for war crimes against humanity. How could any empowered and informed member of society still belong to either the Democrat or Republican parties? The U.S. government knows that it rules over a nation of cowards.
