He’s clueless about political economy. Also, he lies. He claimed immigrants make up 1/3 of the prison population when in fact they have a lower incarceration rate than the rest of the population (they’re 6% of inmates and 7% of the total population). Also, he’s suggested immigrants are responsible for an imaginary leprosy epidemic(!). From the NYT article:

The most common complaint about [Dobbs], at least from other journalists, is that his program combines factual reporting with editorializing. But I think this misses the point. Americans, as a rule, are smart enough to handle a program that mixes opinion and facts. The problem with Mr. Dobbs is that he mixes opinion and untruths. He is the heir to the nativist tradition that has long used fiction and conspiracy theories as a weapon against the Irish, the Italians, the Chinese, the Jews and, now, the Mexicans.

INVASION USA

Illegal aliens murder 12 Americans daily

Death toll in 2006 far overshadows total U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq, Afghanistan

Posted: November 28, 2006

By Joseph Farah

http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53103

In the population study of a sample of 55,322 illegal aliens, researchers found that they were arrested at least a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien. Nearly all had more than 1 arrest. Thirty-eight percent (about 21,000) had between 2 and 5 arrests, 32 percent (about 18,000) had between 6 and 10 arrests, and 26 percent (about 15,000) had 11 or more arrests. Most of the arrests occurred after 1990.

http://www.newswithviews.com/Kouri/jim62.htm

"The U.S. Justice Department estimated that 270,000 illegal immigrants served jail time nationally in 2003. Of those, 108,000 were in California. Some estimates show illegals now make up half of California's prison population, creating a massive criminal subculture that strains state budgets and creates a nightmare for local police forces."

More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says

http://www.gao.gov/docsearch/abstract.php?rptno=GAO-05-646R

They were arrested for a total of about 700,000 criminal offenses, averaging about 13 offenses per illegal alien. One arrest incident may include multiple offenses, a fact that explains why there are nearly one and half times more offenses than arrests. Almost all of these illegal aliens were arrested for more than 1 offense. Slightly more than half of the 55,322 illegal aliens had between 2 and 10 offenses. About 45 percent of all offenses were drug or immigration offenses. About 15 percent were property-related offenses such as burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and property damage. About 12 percent were for violent offenses such as murder, robbery, assault, and sex-related crimes. The balance was for such other offenses as traffic violations, including driving under the influence; fraud--including forgery and counterfeiting; weapons violations; and obstruction of justice. Eighty percent of all arrests occurred in three states--California, Texas, and Arizona. Specifically, about 58 percent of all arrests occurred in California, 14 percent in Texas, and 8 percent in Arizona.

Don't do this robin, and make me be on the same side as can of corn! I have already torn up at least two immigration ariticles, one of which was probably from Morris Dees and used to promote hate.

Here is a fact: most illegal immigrants are scared of the police. This only makes sense, because if they get involved with the police, they end up getting deported. For this reason, most illegal immigrants are much more law abiding that you or I. For fear.

Secondly, and we have gone over this before, what that is proposed and writtne about in the national media do you accept as the truth? Anything, or, just about immigration?

And until you can show me ONE thing that is true and that is honestly reported in the press, do not start using info from the press to prove a point such as this.

Besides, (choke, gasp, pain!) can of corn is right about Lou Dobbs, and everyone in 4um pretty much knows it, I suspect.

Which, by the way, does not say much about your sources to disprove the point!

That's a .gov source not MSM.

Yes, I agree that most illegals are afraid of the police and most do not commit violent crimes. But there are millions and millions of illegals here now, especially in the SouthWest.

The 911 report is also a gov source. So was the report on Oklahoma City. And the report on Waco, and Kennedy, and Ruby Ridge. So, your point is?

And this is official government policy; Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965

Have you read the post? And, the other three I put up with it?

Prison and arrest stats are easily checked, unlike the 9/11 Commission's report.

And? How? AND; have you done that?

The attorney who wrote the book about Satanism in America, from Neb., The Franklin Cover-Up, reported on how nothing in the FBI stats on crime includes any information on missing children, or, in large part, any info on crimes against children. In short, those stats on crime are all lies. And, he went into detail about this.

The lesson being, why would you think that the media tells lies, and no one in the government falisifies anything? Or, in law inforcement? Do you believe for just one moment that there are not people in law enforcement involved in the cover-ups I mentioned before? Waco and Ruby Ridge were all about law enforcement!

Law enforcement is a part of the gov, robin, and a BIG part of the problem. Taking anything at face value from THEM is no different than accepting non- sense printed by the New York Times. In fact, it could be worse, cause most of the time, law enforcement is at the heart of the problems, while the New York Times just prints the falsehoods.

Hell no. I want the border locked down tight, IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. And when the United States CREATES a problem, such as the gangs, and then dares to export that to Mèxico, NO WAY!

And furthermore, I want less bigotry. Which means, first off, some respect for the problems in Mèxico WHICH HAVE BEEN CREATED BY AND FOR THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THE HANDLERS OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, THE INTERNATIONAL BANKERS.

Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 -- Either one of you bothered to read this post? If you had, you would know that the race problem WAS DELIBERATELY CREATED BY THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.

I think you've got it backwards. Those organizations and the govt are motivated to make the illegals look attractive.

I do not usually get things backwards, robin. The flood of immigrants, legal as well as illegal, were intended to do two things.

First, break down the togetherness of American society. So, yes, while a portion of the government and organizations extoll the virutes of the immigration flood, at the very same time there is/was/and will be a concentrated effort to create and inject race hatred and fear into the society. All of these things have been studyied, and it is how a society is broken down and a new society created on the ruins of the old. The prinicples behind this have been extolled on at great length by those who are considered to be the great thinkers of the communist revolution. I forget the terminology they use to describe this process, but it is not hard to see what is going on if you simply decide to look, listen and learn.

Second, use the flood of immigrants, legal and illegal, to suppress the wages of the American worker so that the standard of living the United States is reduced to somewhere close to the rest of the world, so that the United States can be comfortably joined to the rest of the world under a one world government. This was discussed and decided on back in the 1950s.

Tell me, O' Great Wise One. Did you bother to read the post I put up about the passage of NAFTA in Mèxico? And how about Salinas, the president of Mèxico, fled the country after he left office, with, oh, maybe 100 millin dollars hidden in Switzerland? Did you bother? And did you read in that post how the corruption in the voting, using computers from the UNITED STATES, is what put him in office in the first place?

I would guess that the people of Mèxico will begin to reform their government when the same people who control YOUR elections no longer intefere with theirs.

Do not export the problems created in the Untied States to Mèxico, and there will not be problems entering the states from Mèxico.

As for the Mèxican government, until you take control of your own and boot the Neocons and the rest of the filth out, do not lecture others about their supposed problems.

Amazing. All those illegals supposedly in one place, and no immigration police nowheres. Amazing, is it not, how plain that makes it as to where the problems come from, if, of course, you have any eyes to see, ears to hear, and mouth to ask questions with instead of just being a bigot about everything.

Oh, Jethro, do you know what is behind bigotry? Ummm? Do you?

A lack of respect. Which all together too many in 4um have shown more than a little evidence of.

The poorest of the poor in Mèxico flee to the north, looking for work and the only solution clowns like you come up with is to shoot them... NOT fix your problems with YOUR government... Oh no. Not that! KILL EM ALL AND LET gOD SORT EM OUT. Yep. That has always been a winning formula.

Not everyone pays, esp. the first time that they go over the border. Remember, this problem started many years ago, and most of those people are on their third or fourth or fifth trip. Also, many times they pay the fees off by the month; and do not go there about them not paying. The smugglers can kill in Mèxico (family) if they can not find those who owe the money.

And, do not believe everything you hear about how much the smugglers charge. Remember, that info only comes from the media; you have no personel knowledge of it. (I do; and there are relatives of mine that have crossed the border for a $100 fee. And again, the ones I know would never pay unless they had to go in a hurry.).

This is why you are an apologist.

Do you really think that the People of Mexico are totally incapable of seizing control of their own country?

They have a long history of throwing out their Government by violent means. They can do so again if they so choose but their Government is exporting the people who would do that so it can stay in power.

By claiming that Mexico cannot fix its own problems, you are an apologist for their unwillingness to clean up their own mess. It also makes you a cheerleader for their policy of "send the problems to the US then extract money from them so we don't have to deal with it."

That is the sum total of your arguments.

The human being is a fighting species and forcing diverse populations to share space only aggravates this.

Diversity does not work too well in Israel either, which is something you are already aware of, so how can you expect it to work any better in the US?

The only way it will be tolerated is when you have a strongman leadership, such as Yugoslavia under Tito or Iraq under Saddam, or under Communism, and under such circumstances nobody is happy.
