He’s clueless about political economy. Also, he lies. He claimed immigrants make up 1/3 of the prison population when in fact they have a lower incarceration rate than the rest of the population (they’re 6% of inmates and 7% of the total population). Also, he’s suggested immigrants are responsible for an imaginary leprosy epidemic(!). From the NYT article: The most common complaint about [Dobbs], at least from other journalists, is that his program combines factual reporting with editorializing. But I think this misses the point. Americans, as a rule, are smart enough to handle a program that mixes opinion and facts. The problem with Mr. Dobbs is that he mixes opinion and untruths. He is the heir to the nativist tradition that has long used fiction and conspiracy theories as a weapon against the Irish, the Italians, the Chinese, the Jews and, now, the Mexicans.

Don't do this robin, and make me be on the same side as can of corn! I have already torn up at least two immigration ariticles, one of which was probably from Morris Dees and used to promote hate. Here is a fact: most illegal immigrants are scared of the police. This only makes sense, because if they get involved with the police, they end up getting deported. For this reason, most illegal immigrants are much more law abiding that you or I. For fear. Secondly, and we have gone over this before, what that is proposed and writtne about in the national media do you accept as the truth? Anything, or, just about immigration? And until you can show me ONE thing that is true and that is honestly reported in the press, do not start using info from the press to prove a point such as this. Besides, (choke, gasp, pain!) can of corn is right about Lou Dobbs, and everyone in 4um pretty much knows it, I suspect. Which, by the way, does not say much about your sources to disprove the point!

Or, did you take the word of the press... un, the mainstream press, for that supposed fact, Jethro? Amazing. All those illegals supposedly in one place, and no immigration police nowheres. Amazing, is it not, how plain that makes it as to where the problems come from, if, of course, you have any eyes to see, ears to hear, and mouth to ask questions with instead of just being a bigot about everything. Oh, Jethro, do you know what is behind bigotry? Ummm? Do you? A lack of respect. Which all together too many in 4um have shown more than a little evidence of. The poorest of the poor in Mèxico flee to the north, looking for work and the only solution clowns like you come up with is to shoot them... NOT fix your problems with YOUR government... Oh no. Not that! KILL EM ALL AND LET gOD SORT EM OUT. Yep. That has always been a winning formula.
