Workers demanding justice from Pulte Homes' construction subcontractors
immigrants from Mexico & central America (many illegal) dominate the work-for these sub-contractors builidng homes in Phoenix area. and they are well-paid. almost all get over $10/hour. Many get up to $20/hour. so I don't know what they're complaining about. the spanish language is absolutely dominant on those crews. the few Americans learn spanish. there is much persecution against the Americans in this work-force as a result of these things. and still they complain.
If you notice, the post on You Tube was by someone from the AFL CIO.. they're trying to get these illegals to unionize.. the AFL CIO is one of the groups that is pro amnestiy and for illegals right to work in this country.. they've sold out their own members..
Probably. Currently, electricians command pretty good wages and, like the medical industry (and to some extent now the tech industry and management nowadays) they do their own certifications within their industry. Its a lot like one of the old medieval trade guilds.
Its something anyone can learn to do with a little study and a little work. Introducing a few million freelancers will destroy what these guys have created over the years.

.. its interesting Ive spoken to many people who when I say something about illegals . Im asked ..how do you know they're illegal? People are dumber than a box of rocks.
Some are - some aren't. A lot of people who were either "pro-illegal" or didn't care or were of the "awww, the poor people" were converted with the mass demonstrations a couple of years ago.
The use of the Mexican Flag on US Soil has really pissed off a lot of people. Those people then go forth and convert their friends and family and it spreads like a cancer. Down in the Bay Area, the Chinese community, who used to be all for open borders are now coming down against open borders. They saw the rabble and saw themselves threatened. A good friend of mine went from "give it all away" to sending money to the Minutemen. That's a 180-degree turn.
As time goes on more and more people will wake up. The die-hards are a lost cause as ever, but thinking people are beginning to wake up and understand.
Its starting to turn into a repeat of the 1920s when immigration was restricted. People watched their wages drop, discovered the economic laws of supply and demand - and acted accordingly.
It'll happen again. Last time it took 30 years from the founding of the "close off the raging river" groups to the restrictions coming into law. We're coming up on 30 years again now from the founding of FAIR -- and restrictionism is becoming the new 'in' thing. Its just a matter of time now if history is any guide.
No worries here. It ought to play out just like it has before. The US brings in a bunch of people - then slams the borders shut - then opens them up again some time after it digests its meal and the cycle plays on.
