I ran across an old thread from here, and saw these two posts, one from SKYDRIFTER, the other from aristeides. Here is what SKYDRIFTER had to say: "Certainly I have my own view on this topic, but I'd have to advise anyone who wants to get into unadulterated "Jew hating," that such is the one thing which would bring down a lot of shit on this forum and its members. They will be free of the War Crime guilt, as America is later taxed to fund the reparations to Israeli controlled Iraq. That's what we're approaching. Attacking Israel ("The Jewish State of Israel") is one thing; being purely and blindly racist is another. That can bring down more problems than most are prepared to deal with. Y'all be careful, now, hear?" To: SKYDRIFTER "Some people may want to see this forum discredited, and post accordingly." Everyone here, please heed these words, do not let yourselves get caught up in a frenzy, especially pertaining to this topic, do not take what all posters say at face value, as there are those out there who want to lay traps, and bring about the ruin of certain forums. Such people are very clever and relentless in their mission, just please be careful, and don't get distracted from the big picture.

OI... You insult the intelligence of those that post here. Bad choice of words does not pass muster even for disingenuous. You wrote the four words with afore thought. Anyone as learned as you seem to be had to know what those words constituted and what the background for their insertion intended. They were your chosen words and you will have to live with them as long as you remain here.
Common decency would require a retraction of your stupid post and an apology to Chuck ... then get on with your day (gin bottle).
There might be a few RM's here, but they don't subscribe to the same belief system as the ones you hear so much about; like the Falwell/Robertson/Hagee crowd, for example.

Being opposed to someones irrational hatreds does imply that I favor laws restricting speech and thought. While I most definitely and emphatically deplore such mania I do not support restrictions upon speech and thought and DO NOT presume to put words in my mouth. That is purely and simply dishonest argumentation when you impute a position not taken. Further I oppose irrational hatreds directed at ANY individual or group. When one generalizes and attempts to imply that all members of a group share a behavior exhibited by SOME members of a group you commit a classic logical fallacy. Please demonstrate where I have EVER taken that position? Again you are attempting to imply a position which I have not taken and render argument by innuendoe and presumption. This is basically nothing more than a Strawman Argument. Not only is that logically false it is ethically reprehensible. Nowhere have I ever taken such a position nor seriously supported or argued in favor of such. One offhand comment does not a position make.

Pardon me OI, but your are demonstrating a fallacy here...because the Jewish group is like no other group in the timeline of human events. The vast majority are agnostic, the majority are politically Socialist, yet the huge majority identify themselve with the "Great State of Israel, the Only Democracy in the Middle East." Why is the simple fact of pointing this out wrong or in error? This is a unique group that bears scrutiny...There is no Jewish Silent Majority...the few that do speak out in truth are castigated and lives are virtually ruined. Do you condone this? Do tight knit ethnic groups stick together and support each other? Well, yes. It may be parochial and insular but it is not limited to Jews. Although they have, as a group, been particularly obstinate about it. I'm not defending that parochialism, I am just opposing some people using it as an excuse to hate others. That is a generalization which you are trying to state as an absolute. Group think and group solidarity is nothing unique to Jews they have just been held together more tightly as a group throughout the centuries - both by manipulations of their leaders and by actual oppression. Mind you I am not defending that parochialism but have sought to understand it. Jews are by no means a monolithic bloc, although at times they might seem that way. It is almost as though you are dealing with a very large extended family. I might have kicked the snot out of my little brother when we were growing up but if you an outsider lay a hand on him you are going to have to deal with one pissed off S.O.B.. So, it frequently seems with the Jewish community, but realize that Jews can be looked at as several different groups and the one which is virulent is those which have styled themselves leaders, and overlords, and ordinary Jews are and have been manipulated into identifying with and supporting things which are ultimately against their own best interests. However, there are cracks in the facade and although strong arm tactics and peer pressure still work to keep many "in line" there are breakaways and the monolith is cracking. We live in a turbulent time and this is only one issue, an important one, among many.

I'm too tired to do an extended reply, but I do find your argument somewhat simplistic - and I don't mean that in offensive snide sense. The problem with analogies is that they are never exact and can be at first analogous but upon further examination diverge. However, doing a proper development would take more time than I have at the moment. I might revisit this because you do raise some points worth discussing I am just not up to it this evening.

No, your problems with analogies is because they do apply...and almost exacting in a scientific manner. The rules of Ponerology don't change, they're time tested and proven. The only rule that changes is Knowledge.
