Since can of corn was banned the site has been without a resident kook. I have been thinking of new kooks to bring over to replace him, but I have not found one I would care to have around full time. Recall how annoying BAC became even with his limited posts. Instead of having a full time kook, I would suggest that we simply un-ban all the prior kooks for a 24 hour period on the day of each full moon. We could then have BAC, Ponchy, Buckeroo and Can of Corn back for a single day each full moon to entertain us. We could then forget about them and be serious for the rest of the month. I would be curious to know what others think of this idea.

That one's easy...the devil is running everything. He's just chock full of 'bad energy'. :-) Actually, I have heard a number of people speaking to an 'unease' that is making them uncomfortable...just a feeling; something they can't quite put their finger on.
Independence day is here again. Time to dust off those vestigial rememberances of freedom's ghost and pretend we still have what we're celebrating. I take no pleasure in holidays that have lost their meaning. The restoration of Freedom and Independence will be my celebration. I have had that feeling for a couple of years now. A sense of foreboding. Most of my posts reflect it. You might not know it but I do find happiness and contentment wherever I can. Can't pretend that everythings OK though. I feel a deep and sincere responsibility to warn my brothers and sisters of the impending storm by planting seeds of truth. I guess I, like everyone else that have the eyes and ears to understand what's going on, am just watching for the axe to fall. The truth is even more insane than most of us want to beieve. We are slowly but surely losing the most noble essence of our humanity. Peace to All

We need to unite and discuss solutions, not waste time arguing with morons!!! Things are getting close to hitting the fan. This is no time for entertainment. We don't need to invite Kooks into our inner circle and make it like LP and FRaud. Period. If we invite a bunch of kooks, I'll tell everyone right now...if this forum changes from what it is by allowing in a bunch of shills, I WILL BE GONE TOMORROW. Take it to the bank.

I've been that way too this past week, I've had this feeling of dread, and I've had trouble sleeping as I've been uneasy. Glad to know I'm not the only one. But I have noticed in general people have been more irritable, even me!

I now look at July 4th as a bad joke, there is no more idependence in this country. People in general are becoming more cold-hearted, my friends and family who live in big cities are complaining a lot about that recently, so many people have lost their sense of humanity, I believe it's due to influences in the media and entertainment industries, at the very least I think that's a big factor.
I have to agree with you, especially as things are deteriorating so rapidly in this country.
This has been a bad day...a blight is destroying my peppers and tomatoes; and my wife is suffering through surgery-induced hormonal changes. A few hours ago; we looked at each other, and decided to stick our heads in the oven and get it over with. Forgot the f****** thing was electric! NOTHING is going right today... :-)

Hey tom I just bought a bag of dried pike from an Eskimo woman. It's kind of like jerky, more skin than meat though, it's like a healthy snack and the dogs like the skin. I've never had pike. They're suppose to be some ugly eel type fish found up at the lakes, not that this has anything to do with the topic. I got a big bag though, I've been trying to stock up on food and other items because I've been feeling like that might be a good thing to do at this point.
Possum's or coon's are killing my corn and green bean plantings. I've replanted both crops 3 times and some bastard works right down the row plucking seed/sprouts. I usually don't fire up the electric fence until ear corn sets but worked the wires this afternoon and she is sparking as type. I pity the critter that lays nose upon those wires. I have a 15 mile fence charger lighting up a 500 ft line. OUCH!!!

My dad used to ice fish for Pike here in Michigan. They used 'tip-ups' that they would bait, set over the hole in the ice and wait for the flag on the gizmo to fly. Can't ever remember what they tasted like but I remember the 'tip-ups' (thought the fly and triggering event was neat)...

I agree with you, Indie, and first things first, learnlearnlearn the truth, so we can not be lied to any longer! And so we can inform everyone we know. Besides, you and I are here.... what need do we have for more kooks?

Ahhh...you and Zip do a great job at cleaning up the clutter after we cats have had our fun with the mealy mouses. Further, you both handle my occasional 'rants' quite well also, even though some here don't... Glad to know I'm not the only one. But I have noticed in general people have been more irritable, even me! You are right. I had not put my finger on it but it has been there in the background. Something big is going to happen soon. I can't get a good feeling for it. Something not good but not the end of the world either.

why don't we see if we could get bush? since he's now officially the lamest of lame ducks, we could have some fun goofing on him and keep him busy at the same time. which ties in with Diana's feeling of unease. bush without an agenda to push is truly something to cause uneasy feelings. first, he's going to be bored. secondly, his philosophy is a war buys political capital to spend, and the two he's started have fizzled out in that respect. he may be up for another, or several. third, I imagine he hates 70% of us and would love to send us off to war. I'm sorta joking, and sorta not. joking about bringing him here, but not about boredom and bad temper at not getting his way being a dangerous thing. the next year and a half is going to be rough for bush, and therefore for the rest of us.
