Just heard the guy on CNN.

I think the Libby pardon is a most funny episode and it has its place in the process of total decomposition of the current American 'conservative' clique. It's absurd beyond extreme, coming from an a-hole president who used to joke about the death-row guys he refused to pardon while he was gov'nor.

I hope the Wilsons succeed in turning Scooter into OJ Mark 2, getting a multi-million judgment against him.

Nah, he'll get off better than that. He'll get the customary form of open political bribery...the book deal. Someone will ghost write his story for him (minus the bear-on-child in a cage action, like in the one he wrote himself) and copies will be bought by the pallet load by Haliburton and dumped into landfills.

The book will come MUCH later. Even wingnuts know he's a lying punk. But by then, no one will care, because hopefully, he will have sent his bosses to jail. Lying to Congress is a whole new charge.

He could go up there and rape the wife of every congressman on the committee and they wouldn't do anything but make noise. scooter will go before them and "not recall" anything just like gonzo did. They could de-fund that fucker's office but they won't. They wouldn't even cut off funding to cheney's office after he said he wasn't part of the executive branch or put limits on the war they were elected to end.

The sports analogy with politics doesn't work anymore. It's more like pro-wrestling now. Lots of growling and chest thumping but no one gets hurt for real.
