Yesterday morning, I had to turn on the heat in the car as I was driving to work. The temp was in the low 50's, which was a couple of degrees higher than the previous days when we had high 40's overnight. The high climbed into the 60's and we had anything from mid 60's to low 70's over the past couple of weeks. The forecast calls for the same for the next couple of days.

So... what is this? It seems to be the coldest, freeziest summer in memory. I mean... it's JULY peoples.

Time to emit lots of CO2 to reverse the trend. Right? I'll be turning on the car and let it run in neutral for a while to do my part. The other day, I got an invitation from a neighbor. They are planning to burn the tree they just cut and chopped. That's set for July 14. I hope it's not too late.

Is anyone else freezing this summer? I'm in Pennsylvania, the Pocono region. We should have had 80's and 90's by now.

Oh, and what's the story with them hurricanes, El La Nina... Do I need to build a polar bear fence around my house or what?

We haven't broke 86 degrees here in my part of Okielahoma this year. We usually have had several days over 100 by now.

BUT IT HASN'T RAINED YET TODAY, IT HASN'T RAINED YET TODAY, IT HASN'T RAINED YET TODAY.....!!!!

Well we have seen 96 this summer, but then again that's not unusual for Atlanta Georgia in the summer.

We've been all freezing at the drive-in movie last night. We did bring extra blankets and put on jeans and long-sleeves but it was still a bit too cold for comfort - mid to high 50's. I saw groundhogs running around in the middle of the night, unable to see their shadows.

It's July 4th, 1:28 p.m. in the Poconos and the temp is a balmy 62F (feels like 60F with the wind chill). The normal for today, according to Accuweather was more like 86F.

The trend has been established. It's time to exhale vast amounts of CO2 or we'll all turn to icicles by next Xmas.

Man, I wish we had a drive-in movie close by...that would be the ONE thing that would get me back to the theater again.

We drive 30 miles to get there but... it's fun.

Try to find one near you here.
