Fox News: Universal health care breeds terrorists. «

Today on Fox News’s Your World With Neil Cavuto, National Review Online columnist Jerry Bowyer attacked Michael Moore’s movie SiCKO and its positive portrayal of the health care in countries such as Britain and France. He argued that national health care systems are breeding grounds for terrorists because they are “bureaucratic.” “I think the terrorists have shown over and over again…they’re very good at gaming the system with bureaucracies,” said Bowyer.

Bowyer also claimed that in the United States, “if one of your doctors is spending all the time online reading Osama bin Laden fatwas, someone’s going to notice that.”

Transcript:

A state run health care enterprise is bureaucratic, and I think the terrorists have shown over and over again, whether it’s dealing with INS or whether it’s dealing with airport security, they’re very good at gaming the system with bureaucracies. They’re very good at getting around bureaucracies. […]

And if one of your guys is a jihadist, if one of your doctors is spending all the time online reading Osama bin Laden fatwas, someone’s going to notice that. But the National Health Serfvice is more like the post office, you know there’s a lot of anonymity, it’s easy to hide in the bureaucracy.

I'd argue global capitalism breeds empire.

About Jerry Bowyer who was interviewed by Cavuto. Here's his book complete with reviews. Yes my friends, the man is a full blown asshat.

The Bush Boom: How a Misunderestimated President Fixed a Broken Economy (Paperback)

Finally! A book that proves the existence of an alternate universe. Obviously, a rip in the space/time continuum between this universe and the other universe where Bush is presiding over a 'boom economy opened up and this book fell through. Can there be ANY other explanation?

Faith-Based Economics, October 23, 2003

By Samantha Murky "Poet" (Boston, MA USA) - See all my reviews

The author writes: "It's not as though this man didn't learn things from people who are alive today, or who taught during the reformation era; it's just that his vantage point, his center of gravity was somewhere around 325 AD. So is mine."

That pretty much says it all. This book, which I skimmed in a local Christian bookstore, is full of delusional, ideology-driven lies and half-truths. I you think people out of work and a loss of job s is good, and making the rich richer and the poor poorer (off point of view for a modern Christian, but not for a 325 A.D. Christian), then you'll love this book. Otherwise, ignore this fruitcake.

At last, our 8 year nightmare of national prosperity is over, October 24, 2003

By Joseph H. Dougherty (Ann Arbor, MI USA) - See all my reviews

I think that "delusional" is too kind here. There has indeed been a Bush boom, but it has been confined to the small group already the best off in American society. As he heads on to have a net loss in jobs during his term, as his ill- conceived adventure in Iraq allows bin Laden to go free and inflames hatred for America, and as his domestic policies erode forty years of bipartisan progress Bush has created a "boom" indeed--unfortunately, it is the "boom" of the economy and security of America imploding.

If he'd just said "Universal health care provides a bigger boost to darkie's reproduction that whitey's, and at whitey's expense" he'd be spot on.

The same can be said for pretty much anything "universal."

Bowyer doesn’t understand that the system he claims is being gamed is what the people of that nation want. The problem isn't gaming, it's the tide of radical immigrants who are welcomed into nations like Scotland. They who have no connection to its culture, nor do they want one. But to say that would be to go against a principle neocon tenant, and that isn't allowed.
