Ron Paul actually 2nd in Fundraising ahead of Mitt and McCain

Filed under: News — jellygal @ 1:28 pm

According to ABC News, Mitt’s numbers are inflated because he donated $9 million dollars from his personal wealth into his campaign. In addition, they report his numbers would be around McCain’s if he hadn’t plugged in his own money.

Problem is, that if it even LOOKS as though the people are going to nominate Paul, he will either have some sort of scandal surface (unfounded or not, it won't matter once the damage is done), or the media will mike-up some little obnoxious noise he makes (like they did with Dean), or he will be strapped in a convertible and sent to Dealy Plaza. The POWER ain't gunna let him in.

We're screwed, of course.

We're screwed, of course. T

Two points:

Regarding fund raising, Ron Paul's grassroots support is so powerful that other well funded candidates wish they could match it, but they can't buy that kind of support or publicity.

A large war chest is no indication of popular support because corporations can twist their employees' arms to donate the way MBNA bank did.

And, regardless of Paul's groundswell of support we can safely assume that none of the dedicated two party hacks are part of it. The folks who believe that "we gotta beat them evil Democrats no matter what or how" will cast their votes for whoever has the power to take the nomination, and it's a foregone conclusion that the nominee will be pro-war and pro-Israel. I mean, do people really believe that Bob Dole was chosen because of popular support among Republicans?

So, the bottom line is, Paul can't win as an indie and he won't get the Republican nomination because the delegates to the convention will be sent there with the name of the corporate-approved candidate pinned to their sleeves.

Although many people will be shocked and disappointed, it will show the people how the wormy system really works.

The two party system is supported by banksters and the military industrial complex, both of which are either rapid supporters of Zionism or know better than to challenge it.

People get angry with me when I point these things out but I didn't make the rules. The bottom line is, none of the delegates from the states to the convention will dare cross the money that controls both parties. So, except for "isolated pockets of principled people" (Vermont or New Hampshire perhaps) the Republican convention will be business as usual, and by that I mean that the same people who selected George Bush will decide who gets the nod. No amount of popular support (most of which is from people who probably aren't Republicans anyway, and who don't contribute any meaningful amounts of freshly laundered and sweet smelling cash the way the FED banksters can and do) will secure the nomination for Ron Paul.

So you see, there's no need for scandal or limo rides. Paul's support will be written off as the result of internet fanatics skewing the polls and undermining "legitimate candidates".

"HOUNDDAWG, you asshole! It's people like you who are ruining this country! Why don't you get on board and support Ron Paul instead of dragging us down with your grim predictions? If he loses it'll be because of you, you goddam idiot!"

Love,

Ron Paul For President Committee

AFTERTHOUGHT: Even if by some miracle Paul wins the nomination, the general election will then come down to a choice between the candidate who wants to end social security and a DEM who promises seniors the moon and the stars. And, since the largest single group of "special interest" voters are greedy, tax grubbing seniors who don't care about America's future, who would win that contest?

Just as the media showed file footage of fully automatic machine guns dumping hot brass into the air when they pushed the phony, semi auto assault weapons ban down our throats, they'll show homeless old folks pushing grocery carts filled with aluminum cans, and most older voters (who I dare say don't even own a computer and who don't care if their own kids are doomed to lives of debt slavery) will get the message.

If one believes that our government is owned solely and completely by special corporate interests, has the ability to print money at will, (s)elects candidates of both stripes just to keep the scam palatable for goobers, controls both a national army and a private, corporate one and is in the final stages of federalizing the local police departments, then the possible election of Ron Paul would be viewed more realistically.

Oh, you're an asshole too! ;)

But, seriously, I hate to take the wind out of anyone's sails but, the political process has never failed to disappoint me and I just don't understand how otherwise intelligent folks can believe that Paul is a viable candidate.

I mean, when Israel, corporations, the MCI, seniors, welfare recips, both political parties, the intel "community", the controlled media and even most of the crooks in congress are threatened by The Paul Revolution, what are the odds?

Unless he finds a sword imbedded in stone and pulls it out it just ain't gonna happen.

When Sen. Lugar was toying with a presidential run his preliminary platform was "abolish the IRS and the income tax".

Before the last election when the PUBS were pulling out all the stops, bribing seniors and kissing every baby Dennis Hastert said in an interview that if re-elected the Pubs would abolish the IRS and the income tax.

And, as always once the candidate withdraws and/or the election is passed there's never any more discussion about burying the goddam IRS or the evil tax. This is why it's often part of the whisper campaign but never part of the real platform.

So, the rotten bastards know how much we hate it and they continue to use it as bait, but they will never, EVER voluntarily abolish it.

The fact that Paul would do that is the best evidence why he cannot be allowed to win.

Not only does it provide the funds for the fractional reserve swindle, but, the system is used to silence critics and pain-in-the-ass gadflies like me who pester congressmen.

years ago I harassed Tom Carper (he was our lone congressman then) and two weeks later I received a letter from the IRS claiming I owed 40 bazillion dollars in taxes and penalties. A few years later I harassed Bill Roth and two weeks later, another letter and another 40 bazillion bux!

Because I spent the previous 20 years insulating myself from IRS harassment the letters had no effect other than to anger me. But in most cases they work like a charm to silence opponents of the crooks in Washington. And, they will never give up the power to silence people like me. They'd be very vulnerable because most of the criticism is justified and verifiable, and incumbents for life simply can't allow that.
