Enough of seeing the Constitution trashed? Enough of the corruption? Enough of the war? Enough of the gutless response of our elected Democratic representatives?

I don't think our reps read our e-mail or listen to our phone calls. Hell, they didn't even listen to the 2006 election in which we told them to stop the war. Scooter Libby is the last straw and I'm not going to take it anymore. I've had enough.

Cenk Uygur and I were talking this morning about what to do. We've decided it's time to tell America we've had enough. We'll be standing outside the Federal Building in West L.A. at the corner of Veteran and Wilshire for one hour this Sunday. If you'd like to join us, just wear a t-shirt or bring a sign that says you've had enough.

If you're not in L.A., just go to whatever the most common protest site is in your home city with a shirt or sign that says you've had enough from noon to one p.m. this Sunday. You don't have to march, chant, play drums, pass out pamphlets or build puppets (not that we're against those things). All you have to do is stand there with one word: enough.

Cenk and I don't care if we're the only two people there. We don't care because the next Sunday, each of us has pledged to bring two more people with us, and we'll ask them to make the same pledge. And we'll keep standing out there every single Sunday, doubling our numbers, from now until we've got so many people with us that we cannot be ignored.

So how about it? Have you had enough? Will you stand with us?

Oops, there's more. Same author:

Cenk Uygur and I spoke last week about the need to let Congress and the President know that we've had enough. Enough war. Enough lies. Enough corruption. Enough trampling of the Constitution.

We've decided to stand in front of the Federal Building in Westwood at the corner of Veteran and Wilshire tomorrow(Sunday) from noon to one pm wearing T-shirts and holding signs that say ENOUGH. That's it. One simple word for one hour. And we're going to be there at the same time, in the same place, week after week until our elected representatives get the message that nobody is above the law and that it is their duty to enforce the law and defend the Constitution, regardless of what the media may tell them.

Each week, Jenk and I have pledged to bring two more people with us from 12-1 on Sunday to join us. We'll ask each of them to keep coming back, and to keep bringing two more friends who've had enough.

If you want to join us, feel free to do it in your own hometown.

Jenk and I have laid out a couple ground rules for each other. If you want to keep with the same rules, feel free. Here they are:

Our signs and shirts are limited to one word: enough. It doesn't matter what color the shirt or sign is (I'm using black on white). We're not going to yell anything or subject people to bad music, long-winded preaching to the choir, or shouting matches with pedestrians or carloads of people who may disagree with us. We're just going to stand there wearing our shirts. If people ask us what we've had enough of we're going to politely tell them we're tired of politicians breaking the law. If they agree with us, we're going to ask them to come back next week and stand with us. That's it. Really simple.

We hope to geometrically build a leaderless movement of people to put pressure on the politicians to stop shredding the Constitution whenever it is politically convenient. By coming back week after week with no draw other than standing with our fellow citizens, we're letting them know we are the kind of dedicated voters willing to put in the time and effort to throw them out on their asses if they can't respect the foundation of our Republic. I'd like to stay home on Sundays for the next eighteen months but I don't think this can wait until the next election: by then the damage will be done and the guilty will walk away, only to re-enter politics with the next swing in the election cycle.

A few other things...

We don't need a permit here in L.A. until we have enough people that they won't all fit on the sidewalk (my guess is we could be a couple months away from that). If you're going to join us, check what the laws are in your own hometown. Don't break the law.

It's hot. Even though it's only an hour, bring water and protect yourself from the sun.

We're not saying you should pick up trash where you protest (although that would be a civic-minded thing to do) but please don't litter.

Don't be a jerk. It only alienates people from what you're trying to say. This one is really hard for me, but if I can do it, you can do it.

Hope to see you there.

I am sure you have taught by the best your town has to offer.

People who aren't able to dream up wealth, power, or business success aren't too good at hard-luck stories, either.

They've gotten to where they are (supported by others) by whining at people and making excuses. Since that approach has "worked" so far, they try it with me and expect that I'll play along.

It's really tough to keep these adult children in line without having them throw tantrums, but we usually can handle it.

My kid eats first.

Then, my employees' kids eat.

Then, my banker's kids.

Finally, customers' kids, if they saved back enough money from the beer and lottery tickets.

The "Department of Defense" has never won a war. The "War Department" was undefeated.

We need to call our representatives and flat out let them know "no more wars for Israel"

We are in Iraq to "build a democracy". What a steaming shovel full. First of all 80% of American don't want us there and at least 80% of the people of Iraq don't want us there. Tell me this is "democracy", give me a break. We live in an oligarchy subservient to the needs of the NWO and Israel.

I think your post and your tagline disagree with each other.

As far as NWO, that's a term that means different things to different people. So I'm gonna need to ask you to define your it, whether it means "shadow government", Socialists, or what.

As far as Israel: Do I think that Israel holds too much influence in our political system? Absolutely. Do I think that Jews are way over-represented (politically speaking)? Absolutely. Do I think the war in Iraq was of benefit to Israel? No. Pre-invasion Iraq was a crippled country, barely able to feed its own children. Now these war drums about invading Iran, is there some Israeli backing to that? Very possibly. Iran is a relatively strong state, for the Middle East, and represents a much more realistic threat to Israel than Iraq has (for the past 15 years).

Not that it matters much but my wife and I see it differently.

Our bad check writers eat first ( till they are in prision, anyway).

Our bankers eat second.

Our customers eat third.

Our employees eat fourth.

We always eat last, after everyone else has had their legal or illegal take of our revenue stream.

We get what's left.

njoy your camping trip!

Thanks Robin.

Our living room is in the happy circumstance of having tents, rain flys, stoves, stuff sacks, poles stakes, packs, hats etc scattered all around. We are going to try some eucaliputis lemon (sp) insect replant,. Nothing works except for below 38 degree temps, as far as I can tell.

Should be a demanding 28 mile loop in some of the best sceanry the US has to offer.

Alaska not included in this review.

I hpe I can do it as I have a stress fractured foot injury from running seven days a week.

If not I am good with the hammock at camp re reading the Decline and Fall Of the Roman Empire.

Not that it matters much but my wife and I see it differently.

Maybe my delineation was more like wishful thinking than reality.

Well, a guy can dream.

And, when possible, make those "positive imagings" come true.

If necessary, I always pick up some side work to cover my bills so my employees' checks are good. But I'll pay my guys (all Master Masons, BTW) before I pay the banker, and since we're in a small town, we always pretty much know where the money's coming from before the deal is made.

Israel has maintained that Iran is their biggest threat to their "security"'

The zio-nazi "Jews" are never able to enjoy security, neither are other serial killers, rapists, or thieves.

Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say 'what should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship, plough, sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth?

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”

Avon--yeah, the cosmetics, etc., stuff, sold by local ladies, have a product that works as an insect repellant--wasn't meant to be, but it works. Can't think of othe name of it right now. It is NOT labeled as, for example, "Avon's Insect and Bee Repeller"......its something to soften skin, I think. A call to a local seller might give you the answer.

I've used it in the past, at the ranch in Montana, when we had the occasional mosquito season.

Have some, might as well pack it and see what happens. I don't like DEET on my skin but will use it on clothing. Last year in the Wind Rivers it didn't seem to help, but maybe I just didn't appreciate what it did do.

July in the rivers is pretty good except for the zcheeters,

I did the fishing thing during the 1992 summer break from college. I drove to Alaska from Denton, Texas (4800 miles).

The zcheeters up there are all they are said to be, horrific. They are quite a bit tougher than "lower 48" zcheeters. If you slap your are hard enough to kill a typical zcheeter the one's from Alaska will just fly off (I'm dead serious). I literally saw small clouds of them in certain areas around Soldotna (on the Kenai peninsula).

But all in all they weren't as bad as the "no see-ums". They are so small that they can go through typical screens but their bite really stings.
