I am considering writing a book about memorable kooks on the internet. I have several to start with. 1. Ponchy These are pretty good, but there are not enough to make a book. I am hoping that some of you can suggest some memorable kooks who should be included in the book. If you have a suggestion, please enter their name and where they post on the thread below. I will go study them and see if they belong in the book. Thank you.

When I first "met" Todd a few years ago he asked me to write for his web news sites which I declined. (Writing lost its luster about 10 years ago, and I certainly wasn't interested in writing from a retro, "pro-CIA/John Birch-anti commie" viewpoint) Then, Todd was beaten by some Asian locals in some country he was visiting, and he turned into a monster. Then, he savaged our very own beloved christine, and now I truly despise him.
I have been asking around and a lot people agree that this guy actually is the biggest kook on the net. But I am wondering if he is just menatlly ill. That is sort of different from being a real internet kook - although there are similarities. Maybe he got just kicked in the head by the asian guys, or did a lot of drugs, or something like that.

Yes, Todd was kicked in the head and by his own admission he's pretty well cooked from drug use. It is my belief that he is mentally disordered. I wasn't aware that this is different from kookism. Now that you put it that way, if simply being obnoxious and mean spirited toward people in general and women in particular is not enough to compete as a kook, then Todd may be disregarded and real kooks considered.
Sweet. This is what I play... That's a ten string extended scale graphite Chapman Stick with the PASV-4 Villex pickup, and is identical to the one I play. That's a pic of Emmet Chapman playing his.

My naitive toungue is not English. I study scriptures in 27 different languages from present time to 50000 years back in time. I don't use spellcheckers or whatever - the errors I made regarding grammar, words etc, is made by me. The words are by me, not by a machine giving an impression that I know a language better than I do, or make me look more intelligent than I am.

I'm just spitballing here but, I doubt anyone will play many more strings than they have fingers! :) (It's possible to lay across more than one string with a finger, though, but you get the point.) And, since more strings means less movement to find an interval it would be easier to play than a piano where short fingers and/or arms can limit abilities. Example. On a piano there is no shortcut in the distance to play an octave above a given note. On a multi-stringed instrument I will find that note perhaps two strings and two frets above the root which is much closer than on a piano. It's possible to finger/fret an octave (two notes) together with one hand on my guitar, but impossible for most to play them with one hand on piano. On a guitar my octave is a 2 inch stretch, on my electronic keyboard (which has a slightly smaller scale than a grand piano) it's about 6.5 inches. I'm betting that The Chapman Stick would be easier for me than piano because I'm used to fretted instruments and hands doing different things simultaneously to produce the end result which hopefully resembles music.
That sounds very nice, it must be difficult to play with all those strings.

I'd be willing to bet that it's just a matter of time before we see that the instrument is only limited by the talent and imagination of the artist. In no time at all there will be folks making sounds like the club band in the 1st installment of STAR WARS. Naturally the first instinct is to extract those beautiful jazz and classical sounds from the instrument, but wait until Buckethead tries one.

OMG - would you believe I actually saw Buckethead play live with "The Deli Creeps" way back at the very beginning of his career? Was playing at the Cactus Club in downtown San Jose, and he was THE star of the band, no question. This was way back in the early 90's, and boy did he make an impression on me! That guy is HUGE! And watching him play... wow... Now, as far as him playing Stick, I have no idea. The Stick is a kind of a strange instrument, I had to put down my guitar and focus on it for a couple of years just to get to where I could play it at all, and even now I'm not really all that good, but I love the instrument and enjoy playing it. If you REALLY want to see a master on the Stick check out Bob Culbertson. He's amazing.
