If David Vitter thought he was through talking about his "hobby", he's in for a rude awakening. The Associated Press is reporting today that, when the DC Madam goes on trial, she plans to make Vitter do a whole lot of talking.
If the Louisiana Republican "sinned legally," Palfrey said she would use him to bolster her argument that services provided by the more than 130 women who worked for her escort company were legal massages and fantasy role-playing. If Vitter indicates he "sinned illegally," Palfrey said he did it without her knowledge and will insist he be named as a co-conspirator in the federal racketeering case against her.
"I will certainly be calling David Vitter," Palfrey said from her northern California home.
Vitter's office did not respond to a request for comment.
I'm not a lawyer, but hear me out. If I am interpreting the story correctly, the only way to find out whether Vitter engaged in legal or illegal activity, is for him to tell, under oath, what kind of activity he engaged in. Sex for money is certainly illegal, but dressing up in a diaper and being called a bad boy for messing it is not. And since the Statute of Limitations has probably expired, he probably cannot hide behind the Fifth Amendment.
By the way, something bad crossed my mind. I recently viewed an old commercial from his 2004 campaign where he is getitng the kids ready for school. At the end, he talks about bringing change to the Senate when his wife hands him the youngest kid suggesting a new diaper is needed.....
I wonder if the ad people had any idea.
