No, I smoked pot, got thrown out of school twice a week, and sat around reading Burroughs and listening to The Velvet Underground and the Who until my ears bled. My favorite Burroughs line, btw, is: "Your job is to kill the enemy. Your enemy's job is to convince you that he does not exist." In that creepy, cadaverous voice.
