. Sad thing is I'm sure the guys could tell us just as many horror stories.
Haven't followed the story in adults, but in college was amazed that some of the men who I knew to be the good guys, smart, clear thinking full of good ideas, good looking, ( engineers, mountian climbers) well spoke talented multi-lingual sensitive and cultured, were shunned by women.
And yet they flocked to me. It never made any sense.

..you know for me it's not looks.. it's not wealth.. it's intelligence and personality.. good conversationalists..and being self-assured.. intelligence is a powerful aphodesiac for women..well at least for me.. :P

Well now it's clear why you are having problems. Get with the program, be normal, and superficial. Watch lots of TV to tell you what's important in your tv centered life.
(It is not always easy to be one of the aware folks, but you already knew that).

.. this could be the problem.. but most of the men I dated were truly intelligent men.. but inept.. superficial in other ways.. saw me as a divorcee/widow and well.. like the one that told me ... that he missed the feel of a woman's underarm.. (I was like did I just hear what I thought I heard him say? :P )
Yeah I think if I knew then what I know now I would have done things differently.
I was joking about they flocked to me.
But yes FF I think a lot of the girls might wonder what they were thinking. The young men I hung with became the men that hold their society together as older men, the ones other come to seeking seasoned hard earned advice.
And the young boys that attracted many of the girls ..... I'll leave it at that.

Doing okay, thanks. Just got back from a week in Los Angeles, and my home's looking pretty good to me this weekend.
I have a son I could offer you who's single, and smart, and isn't a loon, although he does have his eccentricities. But then, he's 27, and that would seem a little creepy, I guess.
I would ask how you're doing, but after reading the thread, it looks as if you're having a frustrating time. Give yourself a big old hug, and I'll try to pretend I had something to do with it ...

Hey, I've seen your picture, so I'm not surprised that there'd be a 24-year-old in the crowd of men who'd like to enjoy your society. One thing that does surprise me is the "feel of a woman's underarm" guy ... that is pretty bizarre. You wonder what's in some folks' heads. But like my old dad used to say, "some things it's better not to know."

It's nice and cool here in Chicago. Actually, chilly. I have a leather jacket on since I have all the doors open. By the time Lollapalooza comes, for sure, it will be 98 and humid, but I get to see the Stooges again, so I'll live. The down part is I have to suffer through Pearl Jam, because I have a friend coming here for a week, mainly to see them and hang out (we haven't seen each other since the 70s). I loathe Pearl Jam. I guess it could be Dave Matthews.
When his bus driver dumped their toilet on tourists boating on the Chicago River, my immediate response was, well, it COULD have been the Dave Mathews Band instead.
I laid 2200 square feet of ceramic tile, built a walkin cooler, ran 60 feet of 2 inch gas line with connections to 10 pieces of restaurant equipment, wired telephone jacks, DSL shit, and probably another 10 or 15 miscelaneous items in the last 10 days. I need a happy week, not a measely hour. hehehe

It is, really. My knees are shot, back is shot, and I haven't slept much in ten days, but my brother is down here in NC by himself, opening an italian restaurant and needed help putting it all together. Once I get done with the kitchen and baths back home in NY, it's back to NC for finishing touches, then a week of R&R on the beach, bikini hunting, and fishing in the gulf stream. :)
Back in '00, when our mother went to Heaven, we called for a forty cubic yard roll-off to get rid of "stuff," had to do the same last year when our father joined her, and still had enough "stuff" left to hire an estate seller company to come out and sell the rest.
I sat in the back, smoked a cigar, drank a glass of white wine and watched my pug run in circles in the backyard. Everyone who passed by laffed and laffed and laffed at him.
