..my ex..now deceased .. was a packrat.. when he moved out.. I asked him to take his shit of course he didnt.. the judge had an order at the divorce that he had to get his crap out of my house or it was then mine to do with as I wanted.. well then he passed away so Im stuck with all this crap.. he saved everything.. after he died.. I got a shipment of coats.. yes COATS ... there were a dozen freaking coats he had purchased b/f he passed away.. oh and I didnt mention the shipment of HATS he ordered.. dozens of caps.. it goes on and on.. UGH..
Boring day. I kept thinking it was Sunday. The day had that sort of feel to it.
It's 97 degrees here and that is horrible. Most of the windows are puttied shut on the house. The real effort goes into keeping out the cold and wind. When it's hot, everyone is kind of lost.
Will play the fiddle with some people down in Boulder tomorrow. Haven't played the thing in public since since about 1994. Been practicing and sweating from the heat all day.
I have more shit than I know what to do with.. and Ive been trying to purge .. and Ive been doing it off and on for months.. I still have so much crap .. I'll never be rid of it all..
I had one of those. He had a 4 bedroom house with little paths. After he died his nephew came with his wife to work on cleaning the place out. He opened the kitchen door to the garage to look for the battery charger and his wife exclaimed, "I thought you said there was a car in here". There was, two of them. Couldn't see either of them. He kept stacks of old school desks in the back yard. I guess he had a twin brother who was the same way.
If it helps I am looking at dealing with six quarelling children of my recently deceased father in law who transferred $100,000 to her account ten days before he died.
I is not going to be pretty or fun. Like reading and understanding Louisiana legal documents?????
It is Louis the fourteenth kinda stuff. Completely designed to bamboozle the non lawyers.

..I'd rather pitch it.. Ive given more stuff away to St. Vincents.. TONS .. Ive had weeks on garbage day ..the crap tossed out in front of my house, looked like the WTC wreckage there was so much shit.. I still have tons!
.. I could..good idea..I have tons of tools.. I had 4 cars of his to get rid of.. thankfully Im now down to 1 truck.. I can give ya a good deal if you need a truck..
Oh gawd.. nothing worse than that crap.. thank gawd Im an only child.. dealing with two deaths in the last 8 or 9 months was not fun.. if I had to deal with that Id want to eat a bullet..
That't the problem here. No a/c anywhere. The place isn't set up for heat. It's going to be miserable from now until the end of August.
There is a river here where they do white water rafting. Really swift with huge rocks and stuff. Evey0one was swimming in it today. I was surprised. I always thought it would be too dangerous, but no one seemed to have a problem.
I had no desire to ever deal with any of that...poor as church mice parents didn't leave anything; and I don't have kids. Anything I have left will go to cats.

..my mother's estate isnt settled yet.. on that I am glad Im an only child :P .. I have 2 kids.. thank goodness they've been a God send really.. helped me a lot thru some very trying times..
I'd keep the truck. I almost sold my old van last summer and now I'm really glad I didn't. I seem to use it about once a week for hauling something or camping. I just have liability on it and that doesn't cost much. Less that renting a truck a couple of times a year.
If its not your primary vehicle it will last the rest of your life and you'll always be glad you have it. I just spent a thousand bucks having my old van rebuilt with this in mind. I never drive it now except when I need a truck.
what do you do with dozens of quilts? .. Im trying to purge shit from my house not make more shit to have to get rid of.. *you can tell Im in a super mood tonight :P

We must have one ton or more of useless books, dollies (whatever they are), assorted crappola, cerramic clown figurines not to mention just plain ole garbage that SIL accumulated from her ill starred life in the house her hopeful parents bot her.
Now her utterly dispicable 24 yo son is living there for free, ignoring his six yo son, (educated by the TV) trying to kill himself with pharmas. Some stolen from his grandmothers pain pills.
My wife and I were there yesterday and today loading their crapploa out of the house, scrubbing the counters, priming and painting the exterior of the house and soon the interior, the son's bedroom is court's evidence of mental illness, smells of garbage, IS GARBAGE, AND>>>>>>>>>>> I find a bag with about 15 playstation games in it, but he has no money.
And as we were there cleaning up the rats nest they have created over twenty years, he comes in . lights a cig opens a beer and says hes going to the river, cause it's too hot to do anything.
Yes we are sweating like fountians, and off he goes.
Still have a house to paint. Seems we should do a blog together.
