I haven't read FR in a long time, sounds as if they are turning against Bush?

Is that possible?

Allow me to jump in. (actually, I didn’t realize … is someone’s handle!)

I think so. I’ve had a perverse interest in FR since I was banned five-odd years ago. As most know, they used to be 110 % dogmatic Zionist Bushbots, with absolutely no deviation allowed. Now we see even the old faithful rip into Bush on a host of subjects. Same with Rice. Most of them were ready to nominate her for president, now she’s an “affirmative action” nobody.

Strangest of all, I’ve seen, probably from newer posters, some very gentle criticism of the incredibly sacred and holy state of Israel, without the IBTZ instantly appearing!

Most of them will still fight for Israel until the last US marine is dead; they are incredibly brave with OPS. (Other People’s Sons)

Damn, I just gave you a full blown sitrep, just got carried away!

I doubt the majority are genuine posters at all. I can imagine boiler rooms of students and Israeli activists busy, busy, busy...Check out this FR poll: (7/26) Is the "Surge" working?

You can't expect Israeli students to always get the schtick just right, but that poll shows the obvious absurd bias. Now Israelis don't even need a visa, so they can get more exposure on how to behave like an American.

Anyone know her FR handle? Roz Rothstein...

Founder of StandWithUS zealously takes up Israel's cause in global PR war

StandWithUS, started in the home of a concerned Jewish American family in Los Angeles, first succeeded in getting the LA Times to recognize its bias against the Israeli narrative, Rothstein said, recalling how she precisely analyzed photographs of Israelis and Palestinians in the newspaper to demonstrate how they were unevenly presented, resulting in more sympathy being generated for Palestinians.

StandWithUS then quickly expanded, and became an international Israel advocacy organization, with branches across North and South America, Europe, and Australia. "We really didn't plan this," Rothstein emphasized. "We hit on a niche," she added.

'It's imperative to be across the street'

The organization now works around the world to educate Jews and non-Jews on how to argue Israel's case, giving them the information they need to face Israel's opponents abroad, Rothstein said. "We are not a political organization, we are not affiliated with the Democrats or Republicans, Labor or Likud. Our job is to help enrich a conversation on Israel, and give to give Israel its shot in the battle for hearts and minds," she added.

Right, decent people have sympathy for the starving and oppressed not the mean and nasty overlords.
