I was thinking - maybe gonzales is going to resign, but is waiting until august. if so, bush could place a new ag by *emergency* appointment while congress is in recess. that would take him right up to january of 2009, the rest of his term, and avoid a battle with congress over whatever horror he wants to appoint next. just a thought.....
