MIDDLE-CLASS OUTLAWS.

This is a strange new genre of citizen Our Beloved Government is creating. Ordinary middle-class or working-class men and women who, in order to stay free, must step outside the system. Or run like hell outside the system, for that matter.

This creates definite oddities. Joel Simon (aka John DeWitt) expresses the feeling very well in his adventurous poem "The Night of Randall's Crates."

Sort of a sense of WTF am I doing here? How did I -- me! -- the former vice-president of the student body, the former Chamber of Commerce member, former Republican party devotee, or whatever -- come to this??? Driving without a license, ditching the IRS, banking offshore, using fake ID, trading in illegal goods, monkeywrenching databases, or even just thinking about how to make the whole effing gummint go away ... ME!, Ms. National Merit Scholarship winner or Mr. Future Teacher of America.

Ian also brings up an aspect of the middle-class Outlaw dilemma in a TCF thread called "Black Market Problems." Nobody who ever grew up in the inner city or in an eastern bloc country of the Communist era would have to raise such issues. They'd already know how to run a black market or an underground railroad in a world where "law and order" is the tyrannical enemy of every individual. They'd already have an idea what you could get away with and what would be too risky.

We have to learn. And for most of us, I fear the Zorro capes will never rest quite comfortably on our shoulders.

But -- speaking of eastern bloc countries -- I know of several once-ordinary folk forced into exploits that the desperate citizens of East Berlin would have understood all too well. And all the while we listen to politicians prating on and on about how much they cherish our "freedom." I wonder if Stalin made speeches like that, too? Indeed these are strange and interesting times.

LSD typically is sold as a liquid (often packaged in small bottles designed to hold breath freshening drops) or applied to blotter paper, sugar cubes, gelatin squares, and tablets.

I wonder what todd knows about this circuit board/LSD blotter at usdoj.gov. Todd?

It's interesting, in a way, that my life seems to have come around almost full circle.

When I was a young punk teenager, I was a master at getting over on the police. I lived a life of blackmarketing in whatever I could sell and make a buck on, and I did a superb job of staying one step ahead of the "good" guys. I seriously disliked the police, but not because they were doing anything wrong, but because I was the bad guy and I knew it. I have a spotless clean record as evidence of my criminal proficiency. :)

Then I grew out of that phase, and began earning an "honest" living, doing things within the law, and simply started living life as a good citizen. I voluteered for all sorts of community projects, helped people whenever I could. I felt like I was making amends for being a thorn in the side of society for a bunch of years.

I could finally drive on main roads during the day time. I didn't have to fear the police, and for 20 years, they had no reason to even look at me twice. It was a nice feeling.

Over the last 6 or 7 years however, things began to change. Not me, the police. Now, they do look at me, and every other citizen, twice and three times, hoping to find that one of us somehow missed something, and have violated the "law".

Not too long ago, my emissions tax sticker had expired, and I was traveling 50 miles per hour in one direct, and a cop was doing at least the same speed in the other direction, and we passed in an instant. I gave it no thought, but about 3 turns and two miles later, I was surprised to see flashing lights in my rear view.

Yup, Super Trooper had seen the expired sticker, made a U turn and had chased me til he caught up. I noticed his "Marksman" badge on his uniform and complimented him on his keen eyesight, and asked if there was any connecion between the two.

I can tell about 100 stories of how the police have changed, but it would get boring. Suffice it to say that they are now the "bad" guys in my book, and I am the good guy. I'm back to disliking them intensely, and now it has nothing to do with what I am doing, and everything to do with the way they are conducting themselves in the new police state.

In a strange way, I am glad i have the experience of my youth to fall back on when they really get ugly. I am already getting my mind tuned to the fact that I may have to go underground at some point in the near future and resort to the old tactics of traveling covertly, and making money on the black markets. It will be tougher now, I know, but not impossible. They have better tools and technology, but it's not fool proof. In fact, as I did in my youth, I will look at it as an exciting challenge. :)

How is LSD abused?

LSD generally is taken by mouth. The drug is colorless and odorless but has a slightly bitter taste.

Don't put LSD in your mouth and you'll be all right, excellent.

Well, there you have it folks, enjoy.

In a strange way, I am glad i have the experience of my youth to fall back on when they really get ugly.

During my teenage years, I would today be considered a "domestic terrorist." I don't mean the garden variety "watch list" type, but "4:00AM no-knock warrant, tactical entry required" type. Probably even in the years leading up to 9/11 as well. During the comparitively innocent and wholesome 1980's, if it was common knowledge that you could (and frequently did) make a bomb with stuff that most people have laying around the house, the jocks were still smart enough to know it was not a good idea not to fuck with you for laughs. But it wasn't a big deal back then. Of course most kids back then were just getting drunk and stoned, not having their wetware totally screwed up on ritalin and prosac by their parents and the schools.

Gosh, I can so relate to that. I remember a time when I used to admire and look up to the police believing that they were there to PROTECT and SERVE me. Now, when I'm out and about, I have a feeling of unease--constantly looking over my shoulder. I feel the oppression and I see it. You're right, most of them aren't good guys anymore. I always heard good things about Texas, but man, after being there for a two weeks and seeing the police in action, I'm not loving it.

I peddle stuff at motorcycle events, and was at Hawgs of Texas rally when I was there. I never saw so many cops, and people hassled so bad. Not to mention the speed traps every 5 miles between San Antonio and Austin. Yikes!

Hal Turner:
COP'S "BOOK OF SINS" -- LYING, STEALING AND WORSE!
New York City Police Officer admits in his new book to lying under Oath in at least 100 of 500 felony cases during his career; stealing drugs from dealers and using the stolen drugs to bribe junkies to snitch; playing "Russian Roulette" with suspects! He claims cops do this everyday!

Of all the things described, the only one that REALLY bothers me is lying under Oath. When they pass away, and they have to look their maker in the face, how will they try to explain that away? "UUUUUH, Gee Whiz, God, I KNEW he was a bad guy so I spit in YOUR face by putting my hand on a Bible and then lying to make sure he was punished."

one time someone on FR started a thread asking, "what's the dumbest thing you ever did?" well, it got to be 150+ posts of mostly guys telling stories of things they did with explosives. it was the funniest damn thing i've ever read. i had tears running down my cheeks i was laughing so hard. but the funniest one of all was the story this guy was telling about when he loaded stuff into cardboard tubing where he worked. when it unexpectedly ignited, it as so loud that it nearly deafened all the guys nearby and, fortunately, no one was injured. now, when you're reading his humorous description, you're picturing that this was something he did as a teenager. come to find out, he had done this in the recent past at his office as an adult!! gawd, it was hilarious. he was fortunate that his boss had not been around that day and he kept his job.

you know that the humorless jimrob deleted that whole thread? i was so mad because it was a keeper. no one saved it because no one expected that it would go down the memory hole.

When I was in college a few years back, there was one guy I hung out with who had a funny explosive story. He spent a few years in West Virginia, and if you are familiar with all the jokes then you'll know that this story was quite likely true. Anyway, he was telling us about a day when he and his buddies were hanging out at a friends place and there was a stray dog that kept causing problems. So they go out to the barn and get a stick of dynamyte. They taped it around the dog, one of them lit the fuse and yelled "Get!" thinking it would make a bee line for the woods like it usually did when they shooed it away. Well, this time the dog took off running alright...right through a broken section of lattice under the front porch of the house(!). Mayhem ensues. The guy who lived there ran inside and breathlessly told his mother "Mom, I think the house is gonna blow up!" Turns out that the dog put out the fuse while rolling around under the porch, but it gave the old girl quite a scare.

He went on to say "When you were in high school, what would your mother have done if you came running in saying that the house was going to blow up?" I told him that if I did that, my mother would have dropped whatever she was doing and dived through the nearest window to get out before the blast. She was used to hearing the occasional blast, typically in the back yard but there were a couple of kitchen incidents that left her on edge.

They didn't have duct tape. They used packing tape instead and the dog managed to chew it off after the fuse went out. They had to chase him out from under the porch while retrieving the high explosives.

Thanks! I love the 900 round cases of 62gr .223!

Gonna bag me a bunch of those. I have a 24" Bull barrel les bahre(sp?) upper on a bushmaster lower, with a Springfield Armory Tactical scope calibrated for 62gr .223. I had been hand loading it, but I'm going to try a case or two of this stuff.

I'll have to bring that gun with me next trip down. It's a fun toy. That and my AR15.Com limited edition Rock River Arms M4gery. That's a neat little plinker. I think it's number 49 of 500 made for AR15.Com members in 2000. I put an Oko Red Dot sight on it. Sweeeeeeet! :)

If you look on the table though, you'll see something cool... my 11 year old (actually 8 when she got it) daughter's AP74. She wanted a cool black gun like her dad. :D

She's a little marksman with it too. It's a fun toy. I've even shot it in cast bullet matches at the r&g club and done pretty good.
