Ron Paul hits a home run after being interviewed by a very hot anchor shortly after winning the Iowa debate.

FOX News shows an amazing clip of Ron Paul at the Iowa debate on Aug 5.
Then, Julie Banderas interviews Ron Paul in what may be one of the most
civilized and fair interviews Ron Paul has had, yet.

I really hope enough people wake up and understand that his goal is to stay true to the constitution, the piece of paper that made America such a great nation.

WOW! very good interview FOX!! Could this be a change for the better on your network? I sure hope so, would be nice to have people on America’s team working for FOX!!

Comment by jron | August 5th, 2007

The reason he answers them so nicely is because he truely believes what he’s saying. We have a long road till Nov. 2008. I can guarantee that if this momentum picks up, it’s enough time for the “internet sensation” Of Ron paul to go mainstream into the homes of America, eventually big media will have no choice but to give as much attention to paul as they do to Clinton, Obama and Giuliani. I think America has a good chance of having a real president come 2008.

Wow! I agree with everything: Ron Paul talks sense, it’s a great interview, and the anchor is hot. He is as close to having a third party, a refreshing change. I hope he gets enough small contributions from a large base so that he won’t be beholden to the same old same old.

Very impressed with this guy. Im not big on politics but Ive been worried where our country is heading lately, and this guy really seems to know what we need and how to get us back on the right track. Ill definitly be voting for this guy.

Comment by kditty | August 6th, 2007

-------------------------------------------------

im starting to like this guy more and more, he answers questions direct and doesnt really lose or confuse you with what hes saying. you can also tell he does this for people like me who do not follow politics as much as some others, and do not want to decipher an answer to a simple question.

i loved the point he made along the lines of ‘the same people who say it will be a disaster to leave, aree the same people who said it wont be a disaster to go in’. i think its safe to say he will have my vote.

Comment by John C. Randolph | August 6th, 2007

Ron’s right about declaring war. That power is reserved to the congress, and sending American troops into harm’s way without a declared war is a dereliction of duty by the congress.

sending American troops into harm’s way without a declared war is a dereliction of duty by the congress

The reason there has been no "declaration of war" since 1941 is that, by signing onto the United Nations Charter, all wars of all signatories are supposed to be sanctioned by that "world body."

The current president's father went around for months in 1990 saying that United Nations Security Council collective resolution to "use force" was all he needed to start a war against Iraq. His political advisers finally convinced him to go to Congress also to seek resolutions there, but he did not think that was legally necessary. In his "New World Order" mind, Congress was irrelevant.

In a sense, as the U.S. was a founding member (indeed, the driving force behind it) of the UN, and it was first thought it would be a world government outlawing the "scourge of war" between national governments, Bush 41 was correct, at least theoretically.

Ron Paul never would have allowed the U.S. to become part of the UN and thus is looking at the world in a whole different way. He is still viewing the world as being made up of sovereign nation-states. In this sense, he is much closer to Vladimir Putin's world view than he is of any "Western" governmental leader.

Even Bush 43 finally realized how unpopular the UN was, even though his daddy loved it so (as a former ambassador), and so used it as an object of ridicule in the months leading up to his premeditated war crimes in Iraq, which are ongoing.

Indeed, Truman used a Security Council resolution as justification for fighting the Korean War (there was legislative authority for such actions).

I never paid any attention to election news or DC politics
until clinton had sex with Monica
I tuned in to hear all about the sex
everyone did, but they tuned out when the news about the sex finally ended
but I got caught up in following news and politics very intimately
and have been intrigued fascinated committed ever since

I went from curious to hear about the sex
to 100 per cent committed to saving our Constitution

so I won't criticize anyone for tuning in late
I am just glad they tuned in
now is the time to save our country
and I pray most tune in now

Amen to that.

Perhaps you noted Paul in this clip, he says, "this war was a long time in planning"..The interviewer was not really interested in what he had to say.

Just perhaps Paul had reference to invading Iraq being formulated in someones minds long before this president arrived.

I believe that, knowing the natural tyranny of governments, the founders wanted us to have whatever "arms," that the government has in order to protect and preserve our freedom.

They wanted the government to fear the people - not vice versa.

He has a great answer regarding nanny govt, including Social Security. He understands the current dependency, and has no intention of putting people out on the streets.

Exactly...this woman, cute as she might be; is STILL a tool of the globalist cabal...notice how she tried to tie Dr. Paul to the "Alex Jones crowd" right out of the box. This is the ONLY way they can attack him...fortunately; Congressman Paul gave a very credible response. FOX is NOT our friend...maybe we should ask Rupert how the weather is in Beijing today..?

That she did and in a very accusatory manner and tone.

When Paul shot her down, she was in a hurry to move on.

When Paul said the Iraq war was planned long ago, it sailed over her dimbulb head.

Any competent news reader would asked what he meant, not this dim bulb.

Please contact this site's webmaster.

Wait a few minutes and use your browser's "Back" button or click here to try again.

If you are the webmaster, your account may have gotten this error for one or more of the following reasons:

* Your account has used more than its share of the cpu in the past 60 second sliding window.
* Your account has too many concurrent processes running simultanously.
* Your account has consumed too much memory.
* Your site was recently very busy trying to run inefficient scripts.

The solution would be to optimize your applications to use less CPU. Adding appropriate indeces to your SQL tables can often help reduce CPU. Using static .html documents instead of painful .php scripts will practically eliminate CPU usage.

Looks like the link is getting tons of activity.

The other candidates will start with Pauls views being "over simplistic" because they have no counter argument.

How does one argue against bringing the boys home, by saying no, Americans want war? There will be killings if we cut and run? At least it wont be Americans and let the Iraqis sort it out.

Tough to advocate for more war after all these long years.

Some people here argue that indicates Paul is "tied" to Jones.

Using that limp argument would mean that Paul by appearing on Fox has tied himself to Fox/neocons/Bush.

Some people argue just for the sake of arguing and never offer anything. I suspect they have nothing to offer.

Jones is a kook who is making money through fearmongering and claiming to know the "truth" about what's going on. He offers his "truth" in the form of DVD's and website subscriptions.

Ron Paul has been on Jones's radio show enough to set himself up to be "linked" to Jones.

Doesn't Alex Jones have a larger audience than Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and several other "pundits"? I do know that his website gets more hits than Limbaugh's or Hannity's. Thus, I don't blame Ron Paul for appearing on the Alex Jones show because he was reaching a large audience.
