Young Republican National Federation Chair Resigns After Sex Scandal

By: Logan Murphy @ 12:44 PM - PDT

murphyscreen2.jpg (h/t Howie at DWT for pic) Via Taking Down Words:

Former Clark County GOP Chair and newly elected Young Republican National Federation Chair Glenn Murphy is under investigation for criminal deviate conduct, a Class B felony, for allegedly engaging in oral sex with a sleeping victim. This is not his first run-in with the law for this kind of offense.Read the investigative report and a prior arrest for sexual battery in 1998 here: glennmurphy.pdf

WARNING: This is some pretty graphic stuff. Don’t let the kiddies read it.

UPDATE: Murphy recently sent an e-mail telling friends in Florida about his decision to resign from the YRNF position for business reasons. Read more…

According to the police report the alleged victim is a man. The warning above should definitely be heeded, the report is extremely graphic. Murphy (no relation to me) was considered to be a rising star in the Indiana GOP…

I saw this in the news earlier today. What is it with these Republicans?

As far as I can tell, the GOP is cursed by God. Hey, don't laugh right away ... it could be true!

Or maybe, come to think of it, it's fully bipartisan. Maybe God decided to send upon the "family values" phonies some kind of spirit of slurping the sausage ... and to the fraudulently "antiwar" and "civil liberties" party, a spirit of passing a new and expanded FISA law that retroactively and anticonstitutionally legalizes Bush's illegal snooping.

"Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad."

Its very strange.. I remember Larry Flynt saying when he had offered $$ for scandals that he expect the Democrats to be the ones that would have the sex issues but instead he found it was the Republicans.. you know a scripture comes to mind.. dont recall the exact wording.. but something like 'where the law is given sin will abound'.. well seems they are into rules rules rules.. pointing fingers etc.. so it shouldnt truly be surprising.. but on FISA .. so much for an opposition party..

Good thought. As you suggest, I don't find those exact words, but it's a very book-of-Romans idea, talked about most directly in chapter 7. It's the idea that sin gets more power over us because the Law names it and makes us aware of it.

You know, I seriously try to avoid blasphemy. That said, I think that if I were God, while both major-brand parties of thieves would tick me off, the Republicans would be annoying me more. they're the ones who can't quit jabbering about Him, while all the time going on with their murdering and stealing ... and their furtive sodomizing. I know both sides of the duopoly have co-opted His name often enough, but the Republicans have outperformed the Democrats in that department. Or so it seems to me.

Well not to get all biblical.. :P.. but the scripture God will not be mocked comes to mind.. so I dont think youre far off in what youre saying..
