At about minute 6:20 in the first video (or 2:40 in time left) Ron Paul announces the campaign raised $75,000 in one day.
Here are all three parts of the grand opening of the Des Moines, Iowa Ron Paul headquarters on August 9, 2007.
I voted Reagan, Reagan, Bush I, Perot, Phillips, Phillips...
The vote I have regretted the most was for this Bush.
The vote I most enjoyed was for Goldwater because everyone said a vote for Goldwater was a vote for war. They were right, I voted for Goldwater and we got one hell of a war.
Amazing part was a few years later I could not find anyone of my friends that voted for Johnson.
That would give Ron Paul 60% of the vote, which is what one person said exit polls suggested and what I figured to be about right off the top of my head.

Well done.
The machine says 55% - which is what Dr.Paul has polled in every "honest" poll that I've been able to find.
my sweet love, please do not allow yourself to get discouraged I know nothing about the straw poll who participates in it, etc where it is located (perhaps Romney bussed in his supporters)
we knew from the beginning, this was not going to be an easy win (the Presidency for Ron Paul) LOL all we thought was we could win and some of us (me) knew we would win
please try to take heart Ron Paul may have only gotten 10 per cent of the vote in the straw poll and don't forget Romney spent millions on this straw poll, plus all out effort
Romney had to win it to prove to the big money men behind the GOP that he should continue as their choice
Ron Paul didn't have to win it those of us committed to putting Ron Paul in the White House don't change our mind because of his showing in the Iowa straw poll Darling, we are building momentum we are still at the start there will be an avalanche for Ron Paul at the end because his campaign will snowball Love, Palo
The thing here to remember on this evening is that the MESSAGE was heard...loud and proud it was heard...Ron Paul supporters were all over Fox news...they couldn't help it it was in their face! And if anyone who watched Justin TV as I did will note, the support was there and it was great....more people took notice today than they did yesterday! That was the entire point of him being there!!!! They did an amazing job...they didn't buy votes, and still had more supporters there and HAPPY with the end results than Romney whose supporters didn't look or sound happy after all was said and done!

All true! That live camera feed on Justin.tv told the story. Even Fox news told the story. That the only candidate and supporters that Laura took a swing at was Ron Paul and his supporters, is also very telling.

Ron Paul 2008
Great News (and great post!) thank you for posting this lizza Love, Palo
This thread became the day's thread on Ames. Lizza, Zip, lodwick, Dakmar and I enjoyed watching whatever Jeff the cameraman for justin.tv would show us.
The response at times from the Ron Paul supporters was amazing.
If you scan this thread you will see some of the comments that were posted on justin.tv, some of the GREAT links that were posted and some of the experience.
It was impossible to keep up with the logging of comments throughout the day on justin.tv. Sometimes the video was boring, sometimes overwhelmingly exciting.
The Romney people looked like bored fat cats with a dozen golfcarts. They and Brownbeck had buses to bring people in. Romney bought like 10,000 tickets.
Romney's campaign far outspent any other. Ron Paul said, at the end of the day, $2200 per vote, is what Romney paid; as opposed to $200 per vote by the Paul campaign.
All of the Romney people are paid staff, including a $200K PR person (according to MSM). That 200K was JUST for Ames.
The other campaigns spent weeks in Iowa, Ron Paul's group was there one week.

thank you for this report Robin I'm sorry my mind is such a mush tonight but my hunch is Romney got what he wanted and we got what we want Romney had to win, so the fat cats behind GOP would continue to choose him as their pick and what we got (according to Lizza) was a fantastic chance to get our message out we advanced our campaign exponentially GREAT! Love, Palo
It looked and sounded like a Ron Paul Convention. The Ron Paul supporters chanted loudly for 30 minutes straight; while waiting for the poll results.
"Freedom!"
response:
"Ron Paul!"
Earlier they walked through the area chanting also, very energized, very excited.
"Liberty!"
response:
"Ron Paul!"
And also:
"Just say 'Yes' to Dr. No"
and:
"We're not just on the internet!"
It seemed to me they were doing that very thing...and I hadn't wished I was somewhere more than that moment! It was an amazing thing to watch and thanks to the power of the internet be somewhat a part of. I was so happy that my dear husband who works the night shift was woken up to occasional cheers of HELL YES! God knows he loves me!I am convinced that it is time to stop taking it up the ass and start doing something...And watching the others just enforced that belief!
I wanted to say a personal thank you to Justin TV and to Jeff for the magnificent job that was done by making all of us watching us feel as if we were there shouting Just say Yes to Dr No and Freedom!!! And thanks to Robin for all the fun and wonderful commrodity I felt today being here..I know I am not a person whom has been here a lot..but I have been reading the forum for a few years....and I am so happy I picked today to really let it loose!
Romney had been expected to win the test because he spent millions of dollars and months of effort on an event that was skipped by two of his major rivals. "The people of this great state have sent a message to the rest of the country," said Romney. "Change starts in Iowa."
I would like to reiterate...I think I just puked in my mouth a little...oh wait..yep I did!
One more thing that just occurred to me...not sure why it just did...BUT what sort of (NWO) thing is happening this weekend to cause Ghooluani and McCain to NOT attend this event?

They're not wanting to "waste" campaign funds on campaigning because when they drop out as we know they will they get to keep the $ left in their coffers.
They must have received the word from those on high that the mittster is the PTB's choice for GOP.

This has been an incredible thread to read through. I think the final tally stinks to high heaven. Just like the last one, however, the enthusiasm grows and becomes more entrenched, as those participating at the event, can see the obvious complicity of the media fraud unfold before their eyes. Mine too. Those who have found Ron Paul, are not likely to swing to any other fake frontrunner, IMO. We know, he's our last chance.
I heard a report this morning that Mitt brought his whole family, nearly 100 people, to bump his (GOP) 'family values' message. A point apparently to slam Rudy, however, why bother with Rudy?? So, was the family passing out cash to vote? Perhaps we should pass the word at meetup links to take the Mitt money, donate to Paul, and still pull the lever for Dr. No. Hehehe.
There is no way Paul came in 5th, without the gargoyles buying votes, stuffing the ballot box, messing with the machines. Consiracy? Hell yes. Whether it's time to volunteer to be a poll worker or not, I don't know, but seems we need millions of eyes on the job at the polls.
We need hand counted paper ballots in the open, under the kind of scrutiny they have on cheaters in Vegas.

Young lady, are you for one moment inferring that there may have been nefarious deeds associated with the Iowa straw vote?
If by chance you are, I would agree. However, we must remember that politics is a DIRTY BUSINESS and we have chosen to support a man of character that does not stoop to such deeds.
In conclusion, this means if we intend on supporting Paul we have to work harder with less talking and more action.

When push comes to shove, this straw poll is more of a fundraiser for the Iowa GOP than it is (or purports to be) a scientific representation of the preferences of the Republicans in Iowa.
It is a media event, an opportunity for the primary campaigns to flex their muscles and get their message out. Nothing more.

On behalf of Dr. Ron Paul and his wife Carol, and the Ron Paul 2008 campaign staff, I thank our supporters and volunteers in Iowa and throughout the country for the strong showing in the Iowa straw poll. We are pleased and encouraged by the results.

good. now i don't feel so forlorn. still the fact that machines are manipulated even there shows me that it doesn't matter one whit how any of us vote. some representative government.

Yes it is. I remember how Kinky Friedman broke it down. Poly = many, Ticks = bloodsuckers. Mitt brings 100 Family members? Bet they think they'll hold all seats in the Cabinet as well. And you are right about Ron Paul. He doesn't need dirty tricks, he needs US TO KNOW about the dirty tricks though.
I heard something the other day about Romney / Mormons. I don't know if it's true. But it was said, that Mormons do not serve in the military, due to their religions convictions. They do 'missionary work', therefore don't have to go into war. If true, and I understand the same about Jews that dedicate their lives to studying the Torah, and their exemption from military service... I have to wonder about anyone that votes for people that have the freedom to send OTHER PEOPLE to die for their policies. This seems rather insane.
So, Mitt brings a Family ARMY of 100, that have no skin in the game of war. Talk about hipocracy of the elite. Do I fault the religion? No. I suggest he and his family are disconnected from the realities faced by those who have served, now serve, and their families. How anyone in the military could trust such a candidate, is beyond me...whether you agree or disagree with this war, or the coming ones.
In conclusion, this means if we intend on supporting Paul we have to work harder with less talking and more action.
Are you saying I talk too much?? :) hehehe.
More of both can't be bad!

Thanks, that made me feel better actually. I haven't watched all the videos posted yet, but it looked to me that the Paulites outnumbered the paid gargoyles.
