If Paul could win anywhere it would be New Hampshire- the state with the last real redoubt of Taft conservatives, significant libertarian population, and home to the free state movement- along with secessionists and the exiles from Massachusetts who despise the Mass GOP more than anything - all these groups uniting under Paul could put him over the top.

I would. He hasn't a chance. The knives out for this guy are being cleaned and sharpened as we speak. If a media blackout doesn't work- the hatchet men will go to work (and the tiniest most implausible act of "wong doing" from his past- no matter how contrived or petty will be made into an all consuming scandal). Worst case scenrio - DC will resort to straught up voter fraud.
What a Paul run does do though- is expose the sham. It shows, in ways direct and invaluable- the sham nature of our controlled media and how these stuffed shirt puppets with zero grass roots support are made "mainstream" and how these handpicked vetted stooges of the Beltway are then presented to us as if "The people" wanted them all along.

There were whispers and charges of anti-semetism against Buchanan leading up the the New Hampshire primary.
It wasn't until Buchanan won NH that they unleashed the 'big guns' with a major media blitz focusing on Pat's "racist/anti-semite" past.
I can still see that pig Charlie Black jumping from one news network to the other trashing Buchanan after the NH win.
"They", I fear will do the same thing to Ron Paul.
Will it stick? I don't know in Ron Paul's cause. May just give him an opportunity to explain and justify his positions.

the latter
if by a miracle Ron Paul wins New Hampshire of course they will go all out to trash him however, it would boomerang and just add mass energy and mass momentum to Ron Paul's campaign
wouldn't count on a home state advantage for him here, at least not in the part of Tx I live in. The guy's not a murderous fascist, and that's a major strike against him in my part of the country.
Good point. "What?? He wants to decriminalize marijuana!!!!!!????? He wants Freedom!!??? Hang him!! Get a rope!!!!" go the cries of the redneck Bible belters.

I think you are right. Ron Paul just has a way of explaining things that appeals to people unlike Pat B. who can come off as 'mean and bitter'.

I realized something watching the "Debate" in which Rudy made an ass of himself by saying he had never heard anything like what Ron Paul had just said about the reasons for 9/11. To the media talking heads "analyzing" the debate aferward - that was supposedly the "Winning" moment for Rudy- what they thought was his great sound bite. Well- actually- it was his worst moment- the moment he started to lose momentum. The pundits were talking down to the American people. It is not the American people that are stupid- it is that the pundits treat them as if they were a Maury Povitch audience- hooting for empty headed "Zingers" like Rudy's against Paul. Americans care about what is in front of them. And people who watch the debates are not dummies- not Maury Povitch morons. They saw right through Rudy's crap and the seal like applause of the hand picked audience.
It is the pundits and the media that intentionally frame our politics in moron sound bite form- and then blame the American people's "lack of attention" for their moron coverage.
The only people who thought Rudy "Zinged" Paul were the dope pundits talking about it afterward. No one else did. They consistently talk down to us and then act like we are the low brows.
Ron Paul will win New Hampshire, will it be reported is real question.
