I had an epiphany today that I would like to share concerning erectile dysfunction. First a little background information. I live in a small town deep in the heart of the the Baptist Bible belt. While shopping at the local grocery store today, I couldn't help but notice the number of extremely obese women walking around. As Burkeman1 would say, they were steaming "tubs of goo." This is not odd at all. I don't know if it's a Baptist thing or what, but it is quite common to see women pushing 400 pounds in this town. It's really quite disgusting. Anyway, I digress. When I came home I turned on the television and scrolled through the channels to see if there were any good movies on (there weren't). While doing this, I came across several erectile dysfunction commericals. Some talked about how their diabetes was the culprit, others about prostate trouble. Since the television viewing audience is constantly bombarded by these annoying commercials, I'm sure those of you who watch television know what I'm talking about. But once again, I digress. I don't know why it never occurred to me before, but it hit me full force today. While I am sure there are some men whose "E.D." is caused by medical issues, I would submit to the F4um family that the main cause of E.D., at least in this part of the country, is the 300+ lbs of fat-ass hanging off of the back of their wives body, not to mention the stomache and breasts that sag to their knees. THIS is the main cause of E.D. and I'm afraid that no amount of medicine will cure this problem. Only a two year membership to the nearest health club will fix this phenomena. Thank you for your time. We now return you to the previously scheduled program.

Well hell, HF...haven't you noticed the parking lots at Cracker Barrel and Shoney's after church on Sunday afternoon? The rest of us are lucky there's any food left after those 400-pound locusts you describe (and you're being conservative) descend for their weekly feeding. I keep my doors locked on Sunday; especially if my wife is cooking. (I'm a 'sinner' because my lips have touched alcohol, but somehow THEY don't see a problem with 'gluttony'. Go figure.)
I've traveled in the South and West Virginia. I call what you describe "Jowels for Jesus".

I don't care what anyone says, you have to WORK to keep at 300 pounds. Much less 400. You ain't big boned, you ain't got gene problems, you eat and eat and eat. And every time they have checked someone claiming they just are that way naturally, they find a grocery receipt that would make you say, oh my freaking god. I have a friend in Florida (yeah, Baptist) who swears she hardly eats a thing. My daughter and I spent a week there and we couldn't escape the constant flow of food.
I must say, I don't understand why (or how) people can let themselves go that far. It is truly amazing.

No, the main cause is cell phones. Really.
God is always good! It probably has more to do with atrial blockage than anything else, including cell phones and tight underwear.

Hmmmm....and all time, when I visited the South, I thought it was their hospitality. I didn't realize they were just eating all the time. I had an uncle that if he wasn't received in your home with offers of food was offended. And he had no qualms in asking 'whats to eat'......and he was a skinny-assed 6-2 sort of fella. Onetime when we have driven back to where they lived, arrived at 2:30 in the morning, when my Dad knocked on the door, Uncle Leroy stuck his head out the window and yelled he'd be there in a minute and what did we want to eat!
Butterburgers? I assumed this was because they toasted their buns with butter, but I had to check out their website, just to be sure. There was always the possibility that they threw a pound of butter in their hamburgers; just for the sheer hell of it.

I used to manage a dress shop for large women, it's actually quite common. A lot of large women have trouble buying jeans because of it.
It's genetic.. Andamanese women even thin ones .. do have large 'bottoms'
She still has a bit more even distribution on the top. (That other girl is just completely on the bottom. She's like a size 6 or 8 on the top!) But I see what you mean.

No a lot of white women have large hips and small waists. makes it very difficult to buy things with a waist band. If it fits their waist it doesn't fit their hips, if it fits their hips it doesn't fit their waist. Pear shape. I count myself lucky that my weight is evenly distributed, that and my large bust make me look large but no overly fat. People think I'm one of those that would be big even if I lost weight. Sadly it's not true, I'm simply fat. Have lost about 20 lbs since I went back to work though. Hard to lose weight on a see food diet.

OMG! I'm so afraid that your grim prediction is accurate, and the horrors in store for us will shock many to death before they ever approach starvation. Most Americans have never been really hungry. It's hard to imagine but folks will eat the ass out of a dead skunk fried in tar to keep from starving. Even the Church granted absolution to the Uraguayan rugby players. They cut small strips from the buttocks of the less fortunate passengers and cooked them with matches before gagging them down. Pear shaped women are very common among UK/EU. Then there are the apple shaped. It's all fruits and nuts. ;) Before jeans and slacks, voluminous skirts could hide a lot! Or just browse any Renaissance or Greek/Roman art website.
