Title: Erectile Dysfunction - An Epiphany

I had an epiphany today that I would like to share concerning erectile dysfunction. First a little background information. I live in a small town deep in the heart of the the Baptist Bible belt. While shopping at the local grocery store today, I couldn't help but notice the number of extremely obese women walking around. As Burkeman1 would say, they were steaming "tubs of goo." This is not odd at all. I don't know if it's a Baptist thing or what, but it is quite common to see women pushing 400 pounds in this town. It's really quite disgusting. Anyway, I digress.

When I came home I turned on the television and scrolled through the channels to see if there were any good movies on (there weren't). While doing this, I came across several erectile dysfunction commericals. Some talked about how their diabetes was the culprit, others about prostate trouble. Since the television viewing audience is constantly bombarded by these annoying commercials, I'm sure those of you who watch television know what I'm talking about. But once again, I digress.

I don't know why it never occurred to me before, but it hit me full force today. While I am sure there are some men whose "E.D." is caused by medical issues, I would submit to the F4um family that the main cause of E.D., at least in this part of the country, is the 300+ lbs of fat-ass hanging off of the back of their wives body, not to mention the stomache and breasts that sag to their knees. THIS is the main cause of E.D. and I'm afraid that no amount of medicine will cure this problem. Only a two year membership to the nearest health club will fix this phenomena.

Thank you for your time. We now return you to the previously scheduled program.

the main reason for E.D. is the loss of testosterone that comes with aging whether the man has a fat wife or not. ;)

I want a gal just like the gal that married dear old dad! :)

My ex wife was a model. Here's her picture.

Are these photos for real?

That girl gains all her weight in her bottom half. How odd.

Pear shaped women are very common among UK/EU. Then there are the apple shaped. It's all fruits and nuts. ;)

Before jeans and slacks, voluminous skirts could hide a lot! Or just browse any Renaissance or Greek/Roman art website. None of those draped women would have looked good in jeans, not by our standards today.

It's ironic that heroin addicted runway models are supposed to represent the standards of glamor and beauty, but, they don't look like any woman I've ever known or loved.

(according to askel the fashion designers are mostly gay men who want models that resemble teen aged boys, and that makes as much sense as any other explanation)

Women are assaulted with unrealistic imagery on TV and in films, and when I see some toady dwarf producer with a lovely woman on his arm (remember Peter Bogdanovich and Dorothy Stratten? All I could think to say was "GET A ROPE!") then I truly feel for women who starve themselves to uphold an obscene double standard.

As I've posted many times before, half of a woman's beauty is her spirit and that doesn't lend to runway meat inspections.

Christ, you can see that they're down by looking in their eyes.

If you've ever snorted heroin then the look is a familiar one.

You probably aren't old enough to remember when Twiggy first splashed onto the scene.

I thought it was a bad joke! (Years later in the 1986 film CLUB PARADISE she looked great.)

"As Wallis Simpson, the American-born Duchess of Windsor, once said, '"You can never be too rich or too thin."'

It is thinking that resulted in what was once an entirely American plague, Anorexia Nervosa and Bulemia. (Japanese women are now stricken. Is there any need to explain why?)

When Karen Carpenter passed away in Downey, CA I was only about 15 miles away, and I mourn her passing to this day.

For God's sake girls, eat something!

I'm plenty old enough to remember Twiggy; I just age very well. :-) They usually have a few meth lab refugees on the local news every day...even the cats run out of the room...

I know that scary look.

Walking skeletons.

I saw the best singer I ever worked with (with a 3.5 octave range) at a band reunion in FLA 2 years ago. (After thirty years. They tried unsuccessfully to find me for other reunions and they heard that I was "a mercenary on the Mexican border!") Well, he has false teeth now because he was a meth addict for five years.
