I'm catching bits of it, and it really is made for people who have been living under a rock. At least the bits I'm seeing.

What I don't get, is if this attitude is "conspiracy theories are all silly, waste of time", then when the next History channel mysteries/conspiracy theory show is on, what are the core viewers going to think?

Now talking about a woman being harrassed because of a photo, as if conspiracy theorists all harrass people.... They have "Too much time on their hands"... You know, I hope TV takes a major dump, as it is heading that way anyway.....screw these people, and the way they talk down to citizens.

Hey - It occurs to me as of right now I may be able to physically PROVE a 757 did not crash into the pentagon. Due the the mass of the engines suppossedly accelerating into the interior of the plane. I'll get back to you, but I do have way too much on my plate in other areas.

The claim was the wings fell off or folded in, but then, the simulation shows the wings intact being shreded by the columns in the Pentagon. Also claims a round hot ball of fuel/gas, stayed intact, went through 6 walls, 3 rings, and left a nice neat round hole on the outer wall of the 3rd inner ring. LOL.

Yeah well, that works then. I am constantly reminded that many many people are anti "Islamic extremists" and think 911 was done by them. That applies to all muslims, as far as I can tell. So the channel plays well to the ignorant of which there are quite a few...probably the majority.

I would have liked to have seen some cross examination. The Pop Mech dorks always got the last word, and there was no opportunity to counter their claims.

In 2006, a poll showed that 36% believe not that the Bush admin "knew" about the attacks in advance, but that the government actually assisted in the attacks. Nothing is happening as a result. 9/11 "truth" isn't an issue for most Americans and it won't be an issue in next years election. People care more about health care and illegal immigration than 9/11 "truth."

I watched about an hour of this shit. For those who watched it, remember how they talked about the plane that hit the pentagon? How this plane destroyed the entire pentagon, shearing through steel reinforced concrete columns and what not causing it to punch a hole all the way through the other side? What I find interesting is what happened to the World Trade Center. The plane did NOT shear through all of the columns, and in fact, most of the structure was still intact. The other thing I found interesting was that the plane that crashed in Shanksville, seemed to simply vaporize on impact. If that's the case, then how come the plane didn't simply vaporize when it hit the Pentagon, because the pentagon is probably one of the most fortified buildings on the face of the earth? What I would like to see, is 4 of the same kind of plane, crashed into identical structures, as part of a simulation in order to ascertain the truth. Surely there must be footage of jets being tested crashing into the ground, buildings, etc? I wonder where those videos are? There's a lot of stuff in the video last night, that was just lies, and there was some people on there who said one thing, and recanted on tape. The most damning piece was the Norman Mineta testimony. Notice that they couldn't get his ass to talk on camera? I find it very interesting who would comment, and who wouldn't. The Popular Mechanics guys, who the fuck are they to tell the world what is the truth, when they have advertisements for snake oil and bullshit in their magazines? I found the first hour of the thing so nauseating I simply shut it off. The best part of the whole thing is where they interview the douchebag from the "New American Century Project." Hilarious.

For anyone knowledgeable on the topic, it became clear the Popular Mechanics contributors had no interest in the truth. If these individuals invested enough time to write a book on the topic, then certainly they must know significant debris from the reported United 93 was discovered eight miles from the crash site, as the crow flies, in New Baltimore. Certainly they know that the diesel lines, even if by extreme incompetence the lines were pressurized, did not go to the floors that were on fire in WTC7. Since they must be aware of these factors and lied to a national audience with the intention of covering -up for mass murderers, it did not reflect well on their character.

Just like JFK and UFO documentaries, my gut says this will "explore" avenues of interest, but in a slightly snarky and condescending manner befitting the Title which displays the hotword 'Conspiracy', which has been known to invoke, after decades of imprinting, a vision of nuttiness, a capacity to consider the PTB incapable of nefarious acts (we know that's not true, despite the preponderance of evidence to the contrary), it brings up visions of swarthy guys drinking cheap wine outta tin cups under the light of a solitary bulb hanging on a wire. It short, a general view of undependable wild eyed loons. If the History Channel was serious, they coulda used the phrase, 911 Investigations or something like that. Instead they chose a loaded, pejorative word that the population, by long indoctrination has come to regard as being worthy only of contemptous dismissal.

You said they were "forced" to debunk the conspiracy theories. They were not "forced" to make the program as a way of thwarting a growing movement, they chose to make a program to get ratings. Again, I bet a lot of the audience was made up of "truthers" not normal Americans looking for answers. What's really funny is how Alex Jones hyped up this program for weeks and is now freaking out over it. I wonder if he got paid for promoting the program?
