Stick a fork in the "truth" movement.

Stick a fork in the "truth" movement.

The History Channel program itself noted that in 2002, 13% of Americans thought that the Bush administration knew about 9/11 in advance. In 2006, a poll showed that 36% believe not that the Bush admin "knew" about the attacks in advance, but that the government actually assisted in the attacks.

Seems like the trend is going in the opposite direction of your claim.

What polls?

But for the sake of argument let's say your numbers are correct.

So what? Nothing is happening as a result. 9/11 "truth" isn't an issue for most Americans and it won't be an issue in next years election. People care more about health care and illegal immigration than 9/11 "truth."

They aren't my numbers. They are polls cited by the History Channel. Some polls have actually reported even higher levels of skepticism.

But all polls and evidence show that skepticism about 9/11 is consistently growing with each passing year. Thus, the facts show that your statement is incorrect. Not my opinions, but the actual facts.

Stick a fork in Mr. Clean!

Not really.

I say the 9/11 "truth" movement has peaked and it's going nowhere. It's not a mainstream issue. It never will be.

Even if these numbers are correct, there is NOTHING happening as a result.

Street protests, websites, home-made "documentaries" are not producing any results.

What you "say" and your opinions are not as critical as the facts. Perhaps you missed the facts the first time:

The History Channel program itself noted that in 2002, 13% of Americans thought that the Bush administration knew about 9/11 in advance. In 2006, a poll showed that 36% believe not that the Bush admin "knew" about the attacks in advance, but that the government actually assisted in the attacks.

Without action and results those numbers are meaningless.

It's meaningless.

The fact that History Channel was forced to run an entire prime time special to "debunk" them shows otherwise.

Forced? That's funny.

Like all TV programmers, they made this documentary for ratings.

I bet a sizeable chunk of the audience were "truthers." Heh.

Correctomundo, which means this issue is mainstream enough to warrant a two-hour prime time special. You just debunked your own argument. Thank you!

You said they were "forced" to debunk the conspiracy theories.

They were not "forced" to make the program as a way of thwarting a growing movement, they chose to make a program to get ratings.

Again, I bet a lot of the audience was made up of "truthers" not normal Americans looking for answers.

What's really funny is how Alex Jones hyped up this program for weeks and is now freaking out over it. I wonder if he got paid for promoting the program?
