"The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it comes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group," : Franklin D. Roosevelt

That man knew of what he spoke, and he understood very well what was going on because he was at the center of it. But the next man knew even more, and said it plainer;

Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power: Benito Mussolini

I have said on 4um before, and most did not agree, that the United States is a Facist state, but I simply did not have the quote to show the facts. Of all people who ever lived, Benito Mussolini would best know what constitutes a Facist state. Subscribe to *CAFR*

I have said on 4um before, and most did not agree, that the United States is a Facist state,

you are right of course but your missing the bigger picture fdr made fascism possible through his new deal/great society programs the amount of big government he brought to america meant that there would have to be a huge amount of taxes xollected to run it and once that was established there had to be a loosening of the rules that governed corparations so they could make a shitload of money that could be taxed and funnuled into those programs if fdr was never president the level of fascism that exists today would not be in this country even 50 years from now he more then anyone made it possible for fasciism to get a toe hold in the usa

Why settle for the lesser of two evils, vote Cthulhu!

your missing the bigger picture

Probably not. I agree about FDR being a big part of the present problem, but he was nothing more than a cog in the process, and if it had not been him, the powers-that-be would have had someone else to plug into the slot.

The actual problem started with the Constitution (see my post; There is no Constitution, it is a carefully crafted illusion). The Constitution was never fully put into place, so that is where it starts, and esp. with George Washington's setting up of the process through which the First Bank of the United States, could operate freely within the new states of the union and prey upon the people of that time/place. From there, the process was continued through the Civil War, which was about states rights, as opposed to corporate rule from Washington DC, and New York.

So to say that FDR was solely responsible for today is not correct; today is the fruit of the Constitution, and the problems stem from that document.

Is that the system where they look at your face to see if you are a terrorist?

Well, yeah.... but don't tell too many; might make them mad or somethin.
