I have noted two of the many files that are available at this site, which includes pictures. Enjoy.

CRETACEOUS HAMMER

In June of 1934, members of the Hahn family discovered this rock with wood protruding from it. They chiseled it open, exposing the hammer head. The artifact was found near London Texas by a waterfall on Red Creek. This site is part of a large geographical zone called the Edwards Plateau and it primarily consists of Cretaceous rock. Several miles upstream, masses of fossils are found that match the fossils in this concretion. The artifact is now part of the collection at Creation Evidences Museum where it has been extensively analyzed. The handle is fossilized with a blackened coal tip and the head is made out of a rare iron mixture with chlorine. Could this be a pre-flood tool? Many scientists have expressed skepticism since the artifact was not found in situ by a professional, but the composition (chlorine fabricated with metallic iron) remains a puzzling enigma.

BELL IN COAL

In 1944, as a ten year old boy, Newton Anderson dropped a lump of coal in his basement and found that it contained this bell inside. The bituminous coal that was mined near his house in Upshur County West Virginia is supposed to be about 300 million years old! What is a brass bell with an iron clapper doing in coal ascribed to the Carboniferous Period? According to Norm Sharbaugh’s book Ammunition (which includes several "coal anecdotes") the bell is an antediluvian artifact (made before the Genesis Flood). The Institute for Creation Research had the bell submitted to the lab at the University of Oklahoma. There a nuclear activation analysis revealed that the bell contains an unusual mix of metals, different from any known modern alloy production (including copper, zinc, tin, arsenic, iodine, and selenium). Genesis 4:22 states that Tubal-Cain was "an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron..." Perhaps when his civilization came to an end in the flood, this bell was buried with a mass of vegetation that became coal and ended up thousands of years later in Newt Anderson’s coal bin. The bell was prominently featured in the 1992 CBS docudrama production called Ancient Secrets of the Bible and is now part of the Genesis Park collection. At our request, Mr. Anderson was examined by an expert polygraph specialist to further validate his claims. The reports can be seen here. For more detailed pictures of the bell and the demon-like figure on top, click here. A handful of other such accounts have been recorded, including the intricate gold chain found in coal (Sanderson, Ivan T., Uninvited Visitors, 1967, pp. 195-196.) and the cast iron pot found in a coal seam at the Municipal Electric Plant in Thomas, OK (now archived at Creation Evidence Museum).

Many scientists have expressed skepticism since the artifact was not found in situ by a professional ...

The last I heard about the hammer, it had been severely debunked.

But given that people who want to see the Ghost of Elvis do bump into the ghost of Elvis, and given that people who love stories of aliens report rides on flying saucers, this could be true in the same sense.

And the lack of credible support for the stories can be expained in the same way. An evil conspiracy keeps the truth from all but those who desperately want to believe.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Hahn were hiking along the Red Creek near the small town of London, Texas, in June 1936 (or 1934, according to others), when they happened upon a small rock nodule with a piece of wood protruding from it. According to Helfinstine and Roth (1994), Max Hahn's son George broke open the rock nodule in 1946 or 1947, revealing the rest of the hammer, including a metal hammer head. It is important to note that even some creationist accounts (Baugh 1997, Mackay, 1985) acknowledge that the hammer bearing nodule was not attached to the surrounding rocks of the creek. Mackay (1985) explicitly states "The rock was sitting loose on a ledge and was not part of the surrounding ledge." Likewise, creationist David Lines notes that the rock containing the hammer was found "sitting loose on a rock ledge beside a waterfall outside London, Texas."(Lines, 1996).

Evidently no photos or other reliable documentation exists to confirm the exact circumstances of the original discovery. However, the lack of sharp marks on the nodule seems to confirm the reports that it was found loose and not chiseled from a larger rock.

- - - - - -

Although the hammer has been kept under close guard by Baugh and thus not readily available for detailed analysis by conventional scientists, in 1985 NCSE researcher John Cole briefly reviewed Baugh's hammer claims. Although Cole did not challenge Baugh's presumption at the time that the nearby rocks were Ordovician, Cole pointed out that minerals dissolved from ancient strata could harden around a recent object, stating:

The stone is real, and it looks impressive to someone unfamiliar with geological processes. How could a modern artifact be stuck in Ordovician rock? The answer is that the concretion itself is not Ordovician. Minerals in solution can harden around an intrusive object dropped in a crack or simply left on the ground if the source rock (in this case, reportedly Ordovician) is chemically soluble (Cole, 1985).

Cole also noted that the hammer is of "recent American historic style," and concluded that it was probably a 19th century miner's hammer. Others have suggested that it might be a metal working hammer, and that the protrusion on one end of the head might have once contained a leather or wood cap that has since weathered away (Helfinstine and Roth, 1994). Perhaps further research will clarify its actual use and precise age.

The ancient Hindus said there was a flood. Before the flood they had a civil war which led to the use of nuclear weapons. This is detailed in the Mahabharata an epic which includes the Bhagavad Gita. There are fossilized remains of an ancient nuclear war in both India and Egypt. The latter were seen by J Robert Oppenheimer when he was a young man.

The ancient Hindus had a sacred mountain Mt Meru which the Vedas say was found on land where the day and the night are 6 months long. This is a metaphor for the south pole. To me this means that the ancients started a nuclear war but God finished it by God when he moved the south and north poles 15 degrees or so. The wind blew at 850 mph for an hour taking the large land animals, the trees and buildings and dumped them in the canyons. Previous pole shifts created our modern coal and oil fields.

An evil conspiracy keeps the truth from all but those who desperately want to believe.

And debunkers are going to debunk anything that does not fit into what they 'believe.' Just the way that the world works.

I read about this hammer before, and as is stated in the article, who knows? But that fact remains that the metal in the hammer WAS checked, and it is a mixture that no one has used since the days of the flood.

I did not find it. I did not check it. Therefore, according to the Bible, since all men are liars, I naturally take the info in with more than a little salt included. BUT, it is only one thing in this long list of items. And the deeper you go into this subject, the more things that are found that have no scientific explanation.

That, also, is how the world works.

When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest.

The ancient Hindus

That is interesting, and what is also interesting is that in the book, The Two Babylons, the writer traces back the old religion, such as the Hindus, and found that ALL of them started with one God, and later, branched out to many. Shows that there is probably a common source for everything on this earth.

By the way, I can not open that link. Don't know why.

Given that the world record is something like 251 MPH (at the top of Mt. Washington in NH), yeah. I wonder how they measured that 850 MPH gust...

Before the flood they had a civil war which led to the use of nuclear weapons.

How do they describe these in the story? Do they just say that they were fantastically destructive fireballs or something similar?

Anywhere in the artic circles could account for the six month day and nights. Maybe they were talking about Siberia. That would have been easier for them to access and they could have had contact with mongols and such who had actually been there. I have no idea, I am just guessing what might work with the account.

I am thinking that they didn't exactly measure 850.00 mph, they just saw something over the top. Something way beyond anything that they had ever seen and they guessed a value for it.

The sudden shift of the earths axis was talked about a lot back in the 1940s and 1950s. I remember reading about it several times in my dad's old Science and Mechanics magazines. I don't know where the theory stands now.

I've always thought that a lot of these stories describe comet impacts. Sort of like the Tunguska Siberia impact in about 1908. From what I've read, that was a small one and it came off as nuke going off at about 20,000 feet.

They didn't measure 850 mph. That is the result of studies made by scientists interested in both physical pole shifts and magnetic pole shifts. Also the water is thrown out of the ocean in the from of 1,100 foothigh waves which kills all human life near the waters. The magnetic pole shift is less controversial. The magma or volcanic flow under the water is not magnetized because iron loses its magnetivity at 800 degrees Fahrenheidt. However, the ocean cools the magma and it becomes magnetized by the earth's north and south poles. Scientists have found 72 or even more layers of magnetized volcanic rock on the ocean's floor near Japan. If we had a polar magnetic shift all computer chips not encased in ead would be fried and be worthless. The earth's magnetic poles switch from north to south and south to north every few thousand years or so.The physical north and south poles shift less frequently but far more dramatically. The sun's magnetic poles shifts every 11 years.

All of this pole shift stuff is of interest to some of those New Agers who believe that something big will happen in 2012. I have heard one writer refer to 2012 as God's Reset Button.

A funny story. In the old days before Art Bell sold out to the Establishment he got a call from a man who said he either had a dream or an out of body experience. He began the dream? by rising out of his body and looked down to see his room and his physical body on the bed. He went further up in the air and saw his house, then his neighborhood. He got further and further away but did not get frightened. Eventually, he saw the entire earth grow smaller in appearance until it disappeared from view and yet he was not frightened. He began to see a beautiful planet in the distance. The closer he got the more he was enchanted by its beauty until he finally landed is some kind of ecological park with young couples walking around together holding hands. The people noticed him. Soon an elderly and wise looking man appeared and said, You are from earth aren't you?" "Yes". he said. The older man continued and said, "The earth is a prison planet. You will have to go back." With that he began to float up into the air and returned to his body back on earth.

And as God well understands, something certainly needs to be reset!
