Nice visual pun, when the line "Cop's face, full of hate" is sung as the "Haight" street sign appears.

San Francisco in 1967 was known as ground zero of the "Summer of Love" and hippies. "Be sure and wear some flowers in your hair" etc.

At some point, the gays overtook all that and now that's what it's best known for to anyone under age 40.
