The idea is for us to get used to the raids. It doesn't matter who the object of the raids are; that's temporary and transient. What matters is people thinking the raids are A-Okay. Yep!

illegals and those who harbor them are the last place i am going to plant my flag defending civil rights. anyway, illegals have no rights under the constitution, so i really dont care if their hovels are raided. besides, the government raiding people like weaver, etc, is a hell of alot different than raiding illegally dwelling, non citizens for removal. shit, what do people want?

I'd MUCH rather see high-profile raids on the EMPLOYERS of these illegals. I'd like to see these bastard employers perp-walked on TV, handcuffed and tossed into patrol cars, then hauled off to jail and locked up. I'd like to see these employers of illegals prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, including using RICO laws against them. I'd like to see the employers of illegals given a strong and clear message, that we are NOT going to turn a blind eye to their CRIMES any longer, and that they are going to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I'd like to see these bastards not only tried and convicted, but also thrown in prison and bankrupted in the process. Once we've sent a loud and clear message that those who employ illegals are not going to be able to get away with their crimes any longer, the majority of the illegals here will self-deport. Of course, this is all based on the theory that we're a "nation of laws, not men". And if you'll believe that, I have a bridge to sell you...

Funny you should mention it, I live in Minneapolis, and we need a bridge. We have a huge illegal alien contingent here and St. Paul sold out being a Sanctuary City. I'm waiting for the City Leaders of Minneapolis to do the same. The people who employ illegal aliens should be treated as the criminals they are, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and their employees deported. THAT would send the right message, but the reason why they're not going after the employers, is that people look at that as a faceless corporation getting what it deserves. The reason why they're going after the people, is to gin up that good old fashioned bleeding heart liberal backlash to let them all stay.

The article was as short on salient information as any I've ever seen. Poor journalism at its finest.
And you're right, I don't know the circumstances of the cases. It could be that they followed what limited procedures they are supposed to under our current emasculated version of the 4th Amendment.
