For the better part of six years now, Cheney and the Neoconservative cabal have been insisting that the world has never been more dangerous. Indeed, to hear them spin the yarn, the threats to American freedom, liberty, and sovereignty have never been greater. Yet, Caesar Bush has nearly every legion bogged down in his Vietnam-like Iraq quagmire, the United States' vital "national security interests" and most especially the "Homeland" are all left vulnerable, unprotected, and left to fend for themselves ... still, in this oh-so-very dangerous world ... nothing. Here we are, a defenseless nation in the midst of the spookiest world ever, with every battle-ready division wrangling cats in Iraq and still, nobody comes to rape our daughters, to enslave our grandparents, or to slice the throats of our Jesus-loving Christian children. Where are the heathen Chinese, the Godless Russians, the barbaric North Koreans, and the idol-worshipping Iranian Islamic hordes? Caesar Bush has made the "Homeland" as naked as the self-proclaimed Emperor himself and yet, even in this shadowy and perilous world, no one comes to conquer the Land of Liberty and to wrap their sinful and wicked lips round the teat of milk and honey? How ... how can it be? How can it be that Caesar Bush has exposed the "Homeland's" bare breast to the plague of darkness and evil that he claims to be lurking round EVERY terrorist infested corner and, for years on end, none have run it through with a dagger? Here we sit ... our exceptional American children and immaculate American maidens left unprotected and unguarded and they remain unscathed as ever. If the world is so treacherous, how can it be so? Ah ... it is so, because what little true danger exists -- a handful of lunatic religious extremist thugs -- has been hyped beyond all proportion. Yes, because America's corporate masters were quick to realize that there is no money to be made in a peaceful world. Indeed, the post-cold-war peace dividend was good for government and great for the people in need of universal health care, affordable education, and solid infrastructure ... but peace wasn't good for the military industrial complex and Wall Street's corporate earnings. And, without a boogeyman under every American citizen's bed, under what pretense would the greed merchants invade foreign lands so that big oil could drill for obscene profits? In a world of peace and prosperity, there is no need to make planes to deliver the bombs that fall on the cities that can eventually be rebuilt by the same corporations that helped turn them to rubble ... forever and ever, amen. Hmmm ... in this world that Dick Cheney and the Neoconservatives insist to be hyper-dangerous, Caesar Bush has nearly ever legion drowning in the quagmire of Iraq and, completely defenseless though the "Homeland" might be, no one comes-a-conquering ... and to think, when could the timing ever be better? When will America ever be more vulnerable? Hmmm ... and still, no one comes! How can that be so? It is a dangerous world, isn't it?
