I have today and yesterday been forced to address issues that I don't have time to be dealing with. As a result, I have banned Gatlin and Rhino369. I have had to close other accounts due to their total internet stupidity. I won't mention their names. I have also deleted several threads where one poster attacked another.
For the time being, these kinds of actions will result in immediate and permanent bannings. I'm not spending my time dealing with you when I need to find a job to support myself.
How inconsiderate of you all.
I am so disgusted with these actions that I may not bother with keeping this site up at all if it continues. - Goldi-Lox
I feel that what we see here is just a slice of the problem we have in large in our nation.
We have spent so long living under growing constraints that our governments put on our behavior that even those of us who choose to fight for more freedom often can't seem to afford our fellow patriots the freedom to express themselves without being insulted.
I side with Goldi in that it is a tough job trying to maintain civil behavior among discussion members.
BTW - doesn't Christine do a great job!
I challenge each of you to fight for each other's freedom and not insult fellow citizens.
"I am further of opinion that it would be better for us to have [no laws] at all than to have them in so prodigious numbers as we have." Michel Eyquem, seigneur de Montaigne. (15331592)
BTW - doesn't Christine do a great job! "APPLE POLISHER"
I take that as a compliment - thanks.

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men." -- Samuel Adams (1722-1803)
I take that as a compliment - thanks. Well, shucks, spoiled my whole attempt at humor.
I just could not pass up the chance.
I do throw Christine red meat now and then to see if she is still up to par.
I could also agree with your assessment but then I would also be an apple polisher. hehehehehehe
You did well. I like humor.
About 20 years ago I bought my first piece of land to live on. It was one of those 1.something acre lots where a bunch of 1st time landowners proceed to tame the wilderness. One thing that struck me was the attitude of - "this is my land and I'll behave damn well as I wish" that was so prevalent. As it turned out, my next-door neighbor was so weird (actually, the worst human Ive ever met) that I was ready to do him great bodily harm. I chose to move a bit further from neighbors.
My point is that along with freedom comes the responsibility to respect that of one's fellow citizens.

I preach civility. I learned that from Churchill. I recall long ago he said, "it costs me nothing to be civil to a man, even if I am going to hang him the next day".
Hey guys. I signed up here a couple months ago, although I don't think I posted yet, or much at least.
I sent Goldi an email saying it was joke, and that me and Yukon had gone back and forth in small flame wars before and they are always fairly non malicious.
If she accepts I'll apologize to LP, but honestly I see worse stuff posted there every single day.
If Badeye or Trace make a break for it, I got dibs on first burst. LP serves a vital national service in keeping all the worst of the worst posters on the Internet locked up in one place.
Goldie banned me supposedly for announcing I was coming over here to post though I made no such announcement. I had said I was taking a break while she looked at Byteshredder's posts as I requested. Nothing was ever done about his threats to me. But hey if she thinks he is a better poster she is welcome to him. I miss a few people from over there but this really is the better forum and I see LPs Alexa numbers have dropped 50% since I have been gone.
"every time government grows it is at the expense of personal liberty" - Ron Paul
Many are also in prison, nursing homes, libraries, and insane asylums.
You made that up. Admit it.
Well, kinda.
About three years ago, when christine and I were driving to shoot, we got into a discussion about some of the posters on FR, and we concluded that many of the posters there, now like on lp, had to be in some sort of cuckoo's nest.

Orwell seemed to like it when he fought for them in the Spanish Civil war. Ironic enough the two major sides and their "advisors", despite being backed by political opposites (Soviet Russia vs Nazi Germany), both worked hand in hand to crush the anti-statist anarchist movement ASAP.

This is why RP's message resonates with so many in our country.
Get out of our lives, and leave us alone - is all that we ask.
I am currently engaged in a full time job search. As such, I don't have time or patience to deal with childish antics by those of you who ARE currently employed.
Can't she make money hanging out on the internet all day?
