Elvis did a version but it went nowhere.

This is Terry Stafford, who made it a hit, but nearly everyone who's heard the song thinks it's Elvis.

i knew it was Terry Stafford! he had a great voice. he also did Amarillo By Morning as did George Strait, but i think Terry's is better. here's Terry doing I'll Touch A Star. listen to how much he sounds like Elvis in this one.

If that's Suspicion, the artist who had the hit was Ral Donner. Probably still working as an Elvis imitator somewhere.

No, it was Terry Stafford who had the hit, and who is singing it in this video.

I've never heard Stafford sing that song, but it should have gotten airplay.

The Terry Stafford version was the only one I heard.

This is the Elvis song I remember where he was "suspicious". (with THE WILDMAN OF THE TELECASTER James Burton playing guitar-I love the intro)
