I knew there was going to be trouble when I saw Andy Williams.

Although, I've always really liked this song.

"Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile."

I do really like "Moon River," though.

I'd have to give it to Psychotic Reaction by the Count Five, IIRC.

I like that song "Hey Little Girl" from around 1966, I know that was the only song that group did but I can't think of their name, don't know if I ever knew it. I was a little kid when that came out and really liked it, still do.

Starland Vocal Band did a song called Mr. Wrong which was on the Afternoon Delight album. It's one of the prettiest songs I've ever heard, great lyrics, and the voice of the gal who sang it is outstanding. Unfortunately, I've never been able to find it online to download. I have it recorded on a cassette tape. Do you know if there is any way to copy it to a CD?

My band plays that one. We do several of the old garage rock songs.

They did a version of "After the Gold Rush" that I thought was just beautiful, yet I haven't been able to find that song either. I wonder if it was on the same album you were talking about. I love that version by them.

The guy singing is Bill Danoff, and he and his wife next to him Taffy Nivert co-wrote one of my fave John Denver hits entitled, WELL I GUESS HE'D RATHER BE IN COLORADO. They also wrote TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS.

Despite the perm, the tux and the 12 string gig he was a respected songsmith in his day.

lol! Bill is a friend of my brother's. He and his current wife (who is not Taffy) owned a club in D.C. called the Starland Cafe. I just looked at the website and evidently it recently closed. He's still performing though http://www.billdanoff.com/

That song was played on the radio for a while in the late 70s and I really liked it. It's possible it was on a 45 but never put on one of their albums. I'm pretty sure it was After the Gold Rush, a remake of the Neil Young song. I might google to see if I can find info on it. Thankyou for looking for me, I appreciate it.
