They need to realize that only a Republican who represents a sharp break from the Gingrich-Bush-era legacy of sleaze, corruption, bloated spending and belligerence can beat Hillary in November 2008.

The author saved the unvarnished truth for last.

I keep reading that Paul is unelectable...well what about those other cookie cutter republicans?????

In a McCain/Clinton contest, I would write in someone.

In a Paul/any dem contest, I vote Paul.

There are far too many people that are sick and tired of having the scum of politics be the only people fostered by MSM.

The four horsemen do not attract enthusiastic crowds or much positive media and their poll numbers have been flat for many months. That being the case, they will have to work hard and spend lavishly on targeted states to generate momentum.

iow, buy their "votes." this is a good article, but i can't help but be upset that vote fraud isn't addressed. the elections are all manipulated. do the republicans want to win or do they all know that the selection is hillary?

In our local MeetUp group, I've met so many people, of all ages, who have never been involved politically, or have never even voted...Dr.Paul's simple message of Freedom, Peace & Prosperity resonates with them.

who have never been involved politically,

lod...

I spent nearly 40 years in smokey backroom politics, local and state. It is a dirty "BUSINESS".

You are correct, it is amazing how many people have never participated in politics, believing voting is all that is necessary. Then you hear them mutter that they dislike both candidates. They seem not to understand that their indifference to politics allows others to make their choice for them.

He draws the largest crowds of any Republican. He is the only Republican candidate who generates actual enthusiasm. Much of the poll strength of the other four is based on name recognition and money. Their significance will fade over time as Ron’s name recognition and treasury grow and their treasuries empty.

bump!

It's still too hard to believe someone needs to step out and challenge Hillary...in a sane world, her head would be on a pike.

McCain, Giuliani, Thompson, or Romney vs. Hillary or Obama is no choice at all, and even those who keep up the Democrat/Republican charade know it.

If Ron Paul is the GOP nominee, you can bet your house that National Review, Weekly Standard, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. will put their supposed hatred for the Clintons aside and endorse Hillary by 100%. Suddenly they'll come to see that Clinton and Bush aren't the opposites that the two party charade would have people believe.
