I absolutely LOVED it when the President of Iran let the media jerk have it for daring to speak for the American people!!!!!

I watched a few segments of the CBS video and I must say that Ahmadinejad comports himself exquisitively in the face of the transparent hostility and contempt of his interviewer. I commend President Ahmadinejad for his composure in such an uncomfortable environment.

Whether Ahmadinejad the man is a slimeball as a person is a moot point. The significant issue at hand is that as Head of State of Iran, he is making significant efforts to dialogue with America and Americans on behalf of the nation he has been duly elected to represent. What I see and respect are Ahnadinejad's attempts to avoid military confrontation, to use words rather than bombs, and these overtures no matter to what degree is self-serving still adds up ( bootom line) to be 3000% more beneficial to averting a war than what der Feuhrer has done thusfar. As vast right wing conspirator has noted - it takes a heck of alot of courage and spunk and LEADERSHIP ( I might add) to go into a hostile environment ( say, belly of the beast?) to deliver a message on behalf of a nation that is in the gun sights of the Zioneo blood thirsty pigs. If it were me in Ahmadinejad's shoes, I'd head to the best insulated bunker in Tehren I could find. I'd sure as heck not go to NYC to give a speech at Columbia U whose population is likely 25% Jewish.
