Pretty amazing. Hess, Mengele and all your Auschwitz faves go hunting, welcome some really good looking prostitutes (er, women's auxiliary, but it's obvious), dedicate a hospital and get drunk. And bury their dead from an allied air strike (terrorist raid, in SS lingo). Fascinating and timely, given the PBS series, which is just about to get into the war in Europe. There are 146 photos, btw...keep forwarding on the right. These were taken in the summer of 1944, apparently, shortly before things got REALLY bad for these proto-neocons.
