After seeing that clip, I wonder if George Will has endorsed Ron Paul? In CA ,Senator Tom McClintock has essentially done that during one radio interview he conducted with Paul.

right,. but his favorable comments in that clip surprised me. At least he concedes what most cons try to ignore. that being anti-war is not synonimous with being a 'LIB'RUL'.

when they can deride all anti-war types as lib'ruls, it excuses them from debating the true paleo-right arguement. I asked one idiot con recently, incredulously, if he's claiming that Pat Buchanan is 'LIB'RUL'. It stops them in their tracks every time,. We have to argue the right points., not the talking points that hannity and oreilly feed these dopes.

I was surprised also.

It is going to interesting to see which pundit is first out of the gate to broadside Paul. So far they have been snide but relatively calm. When it appears Paul may go the third party route the gloves will come off.

I thought that was pretty fair coverage for Ron Paul.

I've seen some terrible coverage, including one jackass who suggested derisively that Paul was getting his support from extra terrestrials. That's the kind of pompous political punditry that pisses me off.

I've heard at least 2 separate people mention that paul's ideas are 'sort of kooky'. They both used the word 'kooky'. They have no doubt heard this on some neocon radio program. When i get that from ignorant republicans, i tell them that a supposed 'conservative' ex-cheerleader cokehead who wore dresses in his college yearbook, advocating gun bans and promoting socialism and open borders is kooky. Not to mention laying in a coffin at yale and performing fag occult rituals,. Yeah, is that your idea iof a 'macho hero'? if so, who raised you and where did they go wrong? Yes, i actually have said this to numerous people.

Being anti-war is not synonymous with being anti-troops. In fact as the interviewer pointed out, Dr. Paul receives the most support from the military and far above all other Presidential candidates do.

Obviously the troops recognize that being supportive of troops means not sending them to fight and die in elective foreign wars that have zero to do with defending America from attack.

i have one republican relative who was an MP and is a total gun afficianado- & bush supporter. he called ron paul kooky and i had to restrain myself. LOL. he had never even heard of the assault weapons ban, or the washington times newspaper. You think you know what people know. You may assume they know ANYTHING. In reality these are very smart successful people in many ways, yet they don't know jack sh!t about anything regardig politics. How could a gun guy have never even heard of bush urging the renewal of the assault weapons ban? didn't the NRA even send out notices about that, (or did they support it too?)

How can you have a coherent conversation or exchange of ideas when people don't even know widespread, conceded, undisputed facts?

The point is that nobody knows anything. it's hopeless. the young people are our only hope.

I had one lady bush supporter tell me that northwoods docs, (she had never heard of them previously) may have been 'made up' by ABC news, because after all, the media doesn't always tell the truth. Uggh.. LOL.

I'm having fun with that stack of 911 dvds that i got. several people , strangers, who i gave dvds to, have known about Ron Paul. it's encouraging.

I had my PAUL 08 button on, & several of them said they heard about him on MYSPACE.

Not to be a drag, but Paul is going to get crucified. I doubt highly that the American public is going to accept the ideas of no income tax, no abortion, and so on. I prefer an honest guy who is willing to go down with the ship, but seriously, libertarians have zero chance of being elected. I know you guys love him, but as nice as he is, he's way further to the right than that other doctor was to the left. Still, he is at least honest, and that counts a lot with me.

I disagree with you. Improving the life of everyone is not society's imperative nor does the lack of everyone living equally well threaten a society's existence. Don't be ridiculous. Why is it my responsibility or the responsibility of America to improve your living conditions or to make you a better person? Each individual has free will and it's up to the individual to improve himself to the extent he becomes the best person he can be. It's quite unrealistic to believe that a society needs to be socially engineered to try to achieve identical outcomes for all or else we all fail. That's a false proposition.
