Watch here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/cheney/view/ Lynne Cheney said today that it was slanted, biased, one-sided propaganda. Asked what was slanted, she had no answer. Not only did she and her husband refuse to participate, she hadn't even seen it.

It was excellent, and well worth a re-watch. Lots of new material for me, and Frontline has long been a fav. of mine.
That was unintentionally funny at the end of segment two when they showed the three African-American administration personnel who had been left "in the dark" about the creation of the military tribunals. None of these people would ever resign in protest, so they are just as responsible as those who drafted the unconstitutional orders. All of these people should be tried in The Hague.

Thanks for posting, chrissy. This doc was most illuminating. It revealed the man behind the ongoing constitutional abortion -- in effect, Cheney's "legal" brain. From torture memos to rendition to signing statements to an Hitlarian unitary executive, the prime author of our present tyranny is ex-CIA attorney and current Cheney Chief of Staff, David Addington. Critter, please add him to your ememies of the Republic list. He ought to be tried and hung third right after Bush and Cheney.

He helped author the policy papers justifying torture, and the papers sidelining the Geneva Conventions which led to the Abu Ghraib disaster. He promotes the argument that suspects may be held without access to any judicial review whatsoever, an unconstitutional theory by any degree. His view as to the executive branch is that it should be supremely powerful, and he pores over budget appropriations for any riders that might put even subtle checks on executive power. After Lewis Libby's indictment on five felony counts relating to the Valerie Plame disclosure, it was intimated that Addington would be his replacement.
