I have no use for Hagee. Period. However, at this website, the following is said:
Is Hagee NOT rejecting the truth of the entire New Testament account of Jesus’ ministry? What then could the Lord have possibly meant when He proclaimed openly in the synagogue at Nazereth:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…”-Luke 4:18
This tries to give the impression that Jesus was SAYING, rather than READING. He was reading Isaiah 61:1. Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
And Hagee is making a play with words......very deceitful/deceptive actions. And hopes by rousing the ire of other christians to sell his damned book.
