Just what America needs- another video game.

Its nice to know that I can get lost in cyber fantasy worlds while in the real world US snipers spend their time baiting Afghans who scrounge things like styrofoam and plastic baggies or anything that could be re-used or re-worked- by laying out shiney shell casings and then blow away anyone who goes near them assuming they are "terrorists."

It's good to live in the hedonist bubble paradise of America. Thank God for the troops who make it all possible for me to blow away other losers on internet video games.

This would actually be a completely new class of video games not just a new game. As for the poor Afghans, yes, I am sorry for them but I have little doubt that many of those poor Afghan kids would find playing games quite enjoyable if they had the opportunity.

You can deride the 'so called virtual reality' only to the extent that you can prove that the 'real reality' is in fact real but that can't be demonstrated. In fact, according to John Lennon "nothing is real" (Lenon and McCartney, "Strawberry Fields", Knoph, 1983, pp 180-183).

Oh- a NEW class of video game! Well- that changes things. Excuse me. I haven't played a video game since Intelivision. I lost my virginity before Nintendo came out.

I dunno, Burkeman. A game where I can move around the room busting Dick Cheney in the head with a baseball bat from every imaginable angle might do wonders for my physical health, my mental health, and my outlook in general. Add in Pigboy, Malkin, Hannity, Coulter and a few others, and I could see paying $399 for a PS3.

The minute you did that, a little flag signal would go out over your cable modem or over embedded and undocumented WiFi and the next thing you know you'd be on the no-fly list, no gun purchase list, and be getting audited annually...

Hey, don't forget that free luxury vacation on a beautiful Caribbean island 90 miles off Key West. The problem with most vacations is that they only last a week or two. This one is not only free, but virtually endless.
