Title: Anyone else using a firewall that tells you who's trying to hack you?

I thought I'd throw this out there, because something very weird has been going on for the last 4 days.

I use a few different firewalls to protect my machine, and one of them tattles on who is trying to hack me.

I only seem to get hacking attempts while on Freedom4um. I can go to every other website and never have a problem, but without fail, the last 4 days, if I hop on here, I get hacking attempts left and right.

Now, the latest one came from COLT, in Portugal. I have the DNS info and everything. I sent them a tersely worded e-mail asking them to explain themselves. Of course they don't speaka no English, so I won't likely get a response.

I'm asking everyone because I know I can't be the only person getting these attacks on my PC. I've been getting them frequently. Some come from China, but most are coming from Europe and Australia.

I thought I would ask everyone to post their problem DNS's that way we could better ascertain who the hell is doing it, and shut the fucking pricks down. If it's some layabout loser who wants to steal money or whatever, they need to be stopped. If it's the feds, one would think they'd have better hackers out there to do their dirty work, than outsource to the socialist Eurotrash.

So, anyway, pm me, or post publicly who's bugging you online. Subscribe to *You Gotta Be Shitting Me*

Out of curiousity, are you connecting over a dial-up connection?

What would make a difference, what would it mean?

I'll admit to be out of my league here, but dsl offers an open door to hackers, dial up is much more intrinsically secure.

If any one disagrees with that, believe them not me.

That's the impression I was under, that dial-up was suppose to be safer from hackers. Norton is useless by the way, it's never caught anything, then I can run adaware right afterwards and it catches stuff.

This is definitely true. I don´t think dial-up is as sophisticated as regular networking, which means it´s safer.
