Paul, the Texas congressman with a Libertarian tilt and an out-of-Iraq pitch, entered heady fundraising territory with a surge of Web-based giving tied to the commemoration of Guy Fawkes Day. Fawkes was a British mercenary who failed in his attempt to kill King James I on Nov. 5, 1605. He also was the model for the protagonist in the movie "V for Vendetta." Paul backers motivated donors on the Internet with mashed-up clips of the film on the online video site YouTube as well as the Guy Fawkes Day refrain: "Remember, remember the 5th of November." Paul's total deposed Mitt Romney as the single-day fundraising record holder in the Republican presidential field. He still ain't gonna win, but it's good seeing him get so much support. At least the country is now willing to start looking at someone other than Clinton and Daffy Duck. FYI: That wasn't my quote, btw. I don't think I've ever seen people from both parties so pissed off. Agreed, hence the Ron Paul phenomenon. If Ross Perot can garner 18% of the popular vote in 1992, RP could top that given the current political environment. Of course the system is stacked against it, but we'll have to see how bad the people want it.

They're going to lie about it. CNN just reported that Ron Paul allegedly raised 2 million today - but they have no way to check it out. Those creeps are really pissing me off.

Take my word, no one who would ever vote Democrat even heard those nazis at fux calling him Hussein Osama. The rest are not facts. Just stupidity. If he gets nominated, he will KILL anyone the GOP puts up. Whether he can beat Hillary is another question. But it will not be because of his name, his middle name, his color or his party. There is no Republican who could even come close to beating him.

I think the reporters are mixing oranges and apples with a couple of bananas tossed in there for good measure!
I think they believe they 'have to' at least mention it, and then it can go in the trash can as old news. It doesn't appear as much of a positive report, IMO.........especially with the comment regarding clinton and obama........hell, they're trying to leave the impression l) that clinton did 6.2 in one day AND obama did the same thing, or 2) they got that much between the two of them. Leave it in dark murky sewage, and it eliminates anything Paul accomplishes. I believe they are wise enough to at least 'acknowledge' it.....so they aren't caught with their proverbial drawers lowered later on.
Frankly, Tommy, I'd wear a target with Paul in the bullseye--just to poke a stick at the idiots who continue to believe they can just dig in the same old hole and somehow manage to come up with something a little different than the same dried up crappy ol 'treasure' they get year after year after year after year. Wouldn't be the first time I told one of them morons to fuck off. Know what I mean..........doesn't bother me that they all all this shit. Period. They can vote for all the 'lesser evil' they want.........they're still voting for evil. Plain and simple.......no amount of sugar coating will change that equation. You know I've been checking the names but so far I don't see any donations coming from Comrade Jerkoff or from Attorney General wannabe Mukasey - both law and order/rule of law/constitutionalist lawyers. I just don't get why neither one supports constitutionalist Ron Paul. No doubt their donations will come later this month...

That site is a joke. They feel so threatened--and I guess rightly so--the gopers wouldn't support them then........ Oh definitely---their check is 'in the mail'. Of course, they failed to mention it went first to israel, where it just happened to be loaded onto some plane that is going to be dropping bombs somewhere in the middle east......where when it floated down to earth, it landed on a camel caravan and was taken over the Silk Road to Pakistan, where the Taliban ambushed the caravan, taking all the goods from the critters to be stashed in their caves. Dennis Kucinich fans, rally round. Ron Paul is about as likely to win as that crazed idiot from NH. Not to burst your bubble, but he has zero chance. I would actually take pleasure in him winning, unlike, say, Nader, but it will not happen. The system is set and he has no chance.

Hi, fella! Good to see you again. I bet it would be a surprise to have a complete news shutout, and only know the score early in the game and find out umteen hours later how well it had gone. This is something to jump and shout about..........even should it not make a difference in the long run. It is a lesson in people power and a story of people tired of the status quo........and could be the impetus for another go round on another day, another planet.
