A candidate for the Presidency, Ron Paul, makes fundraising history and this story is not mentioned by Kieth Olbermann on his nationally aired cable political Countdown show tonight. Ron Paul's fundraising feat was mentioned but NOT by Olbermann. Air America's Rachel Maddow referred to it during Olbermann's interview of her concerning Kucinich's impeachment resolution.
Olbermann did say "Ron Paul" in this context: while discussing Steven Colbert's withdrawal towards the very end of the show from the presidential race, Olbermann said Colbert out-polled Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul.
So Olbermann's silent treatment of Ron Paul continues.

Good for Rachel Maddow! I really like listening to her when I can. She is an independent minded liberal and though I don't always agree with her I enjoy listening to her humor and intelligent commentary on current events.
Today I caught a few minutes of her program wherein she chastized Steny Hoyer for immediately trying to table Kucinich's motion. ( ssssss, Steny the snake) As well she made a point of noting - as the House voting numbers were coming in - that the Republicans were more supportive of Kucinich than Kucinich's own Dem party members. She gives credit where credit is due - today with regards to Kucinich and the constitutionally minded conservative GOP ( do you think Ron Paul's popularity is starting to embolden the "closet" conservative GOP?), just as she did to Ron Paul in the course of the Olbermann interview.
P.S. Olbermann is good when he has a flaming idiot like GWB to mock but I'm not sure how incisive or clever Olbermannn will be if there's a Dem sitting in the Oval Office as of 1/2009.

Geez, without you guys, I'd be taking the bait for a few months more at least. And a few months is a long time in this game of momentum.
