There's a lot of conflict on LibertyPost right now regarding Goldi's new Ron Paul rule. A lot of people think its unfair to ban discussion of a particular candidate - and it probably is. I have a suggestion for solving the problem. Goldi should just ban all political discussion on Libertypost. Discussion should be limited to a bunch of guys sitting around calling each other fags and muzbots - and maybe telling each other to shut up. This would be fair to everyone and it wouldn't really change the content of the site that much. I would be curious to hear what others think of this.

I think that would work and it would nicely occupy the other half of the precious bandwidth. The first half on the bandwidth is already taken by discussions of what is, should, couldn't, must not be posted as 'breaking news'.

A big bone of contention on every forum that has the meaningless category. That's why there is no such category here. The last article posted is, by default, the breaking news. It might just be breaking wind, but there's a chance that it really is breaking news and people will respond to the post accordingly.
I'd like to see a dated list of her hissy-fit posts .... it might suggest an interesting diagnosis. Oh, forget it, I'm probably just paranoid ... my ex-wife had PMS.

After reading the remark Goldi made about bandwidth costs I think that she is either ignorant or a liar. I work in a data center, and I've also had plenty of dealings with other hosting companies. For what she claims to be paying for bandwidth they should be throwing in a dedicated server. Hardware and bandwidth cost a fraction of what they used to.
I have a dedicated server on the net with effectively unlimited bandwidth, and I pay a flat $200/month.
I agree. It's nothing but a running food fight anymore, there are so few people there I can discuss issues with who are willing to be even remotely honest. It's pointless to argue with people who aren't interested in truth.

As soon as I saw Goldi's post, I voiced my displeasure and left, and I won't go back. It might be different if a person could have an honest, open and adult dscussion with those you might disagree with, but that is impossible there.
Well you may not need to worry about going back. LP's been down for about 15 minutes now. Who knows, maybe Goldi had another one of her breakdowns and pulled the plug on the whole shebang. Now THAT would be funny.

Hi crockett... The suppression of posts re any candidate IMO is more than contemptible .. if one candidate is banned then all should be.. if Goldi portrays LP as a site for 'debating political issues' then what transpired is beyond just being hypocritical..it's fraudulent.
No one on LP has the right to complain about FR again.

To be honest, I couldn't afford to get in on the November 5 money bomb, but I'll damn sure find a way to get in on the one in December. It's not a matter of being "easy" anymore. It might not be a lot, but it will be there on my part.

I think the NUMBER of people who donate, however small, is very important. It shows we are many and ordinary. Remember they said the internet support was a scam driven by only a dozen people! They couldn't say that after Nov 5th.

Orange... What counts is love of country, not amount of money sent. We have far too many people here that rant on about the evil government but when money is mentioned, they are gone. Proof?? You can donate small amounts. If you can't do the $100, the site will let you do $25. I think giving the small amount helps as it increases the donar count. And if everyone gave at least $25 that would be a huge sum.
