Come on in and say hello. We're glad you've joined us. :)
I'm here because LP announced that Ron Paul threads were forbidden. It seems that everywhere you look today there are 'conservatives' who do not want to limit the federal government, and who refuse to discuss the roots of our problems.

That is due to a couple of problems.. of course they aren't 'conservatives' whatsover.. they're neoconservatives..which is a misnomer .. also they refuse to see it b/c they are the cause...
It yanked open my eyes to a lot of things, that's for sure. I have the next day's New York Times still wrapped in plastic, explaining how the transformers in the basement blew and caused the fire. Which I found quite disturbing, considering that when we got the evacuation order 5 minutes after the explosion, we knew it was a bomb. It was surreal to me, after I got home, watching CNN, seeing them explain confidently something I knew to be absolutely untrue.
One little known fact about that event is that the explosion occurred in the CIA section of the parking garage. Interesting, eh?

Whoops, scratch that about the Times. The Times did say it was "suspected" to be a bomb. It was CNN that had all the pretty graphics about transformers blowing up, at a time when pretty much every one of the 50,000+ survivors knew it was a bomb.

I've come to believe that all elections are a contest between the following factions:
1) Government Employees 2) Corporate Recipients of Government Largess 3) Direct Recipients of Government Largess 4) Morons who would overdose on aspirin without constant supervision from a social worker 5) Why not...The Lobby! 6) Fire Department of New York City 7) National Taxpayers Union...
And the people who giggle like little girls whilst listening to early Frank Zappa recordings.

No idea. All I know is that back in 1993 when the place was bombed, they had a section of the parking garage beneath the north tower. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they moved their assets afterwards.

Me too. The moment I need to keep a list of verboten topics in order to discuss politics on a messageboard is the moment I move on to a place where they don't have an epidemic of rectocranial inversion.
I was banned from LP long, long ago, for suggesting that one of the more "graphic" posters might have had a homo erotic oral fixation.

I bought the three-pack to afix to my chain link fence.
Also got a t-shirt and 500 slim-jims.
Was less than $60 counting shipping.

All I got so far is the other t-shirt I bought from LewRockwell. Think the Basement Crazies will run with that info and start 1000 threads about Dr. Paul's shoddy business practices?

I'm planning on handing them out to interested passers-by at Ron Paul meetup events. We did a sign-holding last weekend and handed out probably fifty to eighty. I've also been thinking about just knocking doors in my neighborhood and politely asking people if they would like one.

If you guys will take Byteshredder I will do another recruitment drive for you next month. I am sick of his emails about how he likes to take showers with other guys.
Thank you. I'll get a Ron Paul sign/poster/bumper sticker by hook or crook. The election is one year away.
Call the HQ and make a donation. If you ask, they'll send you one or three, for your trouble.
