It looks like Neil is standing tall and posted a Pro-Ron Paul article in opposition to the free reign being given to the anti-Paul Israbots.

If Smerconish actually knows Giuliani, I wonder how he can hold him in the highest regard.

Nevertheless, it's interesting that he should write a favorable column on Ron Paul.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

Despite the brickbats, smears, and misrepresentations - as people learn about who Ron Paul really is, his stands, and potential policies - the reality, being the truth, blows away the lies.

This should be interesting.

I am guessing that if this one passes unremarked there will be another.

The anti-Paul Israbots will of course continue spamming with anti-Paul disinformation and so Goldi will be forced to either ban the Israbots, which she will not do, or take another hypocritical action.

However, trying to ban the guy who wrote the software could be rather difficult to make stick.

I'm sure Neil knows every backdoor into the programming.

This could end up being quite hilarious.

This entire matter is very curious.. one thing I've wondered is why she was AWOL for 3 or 4 days after dropping the 'bomb' .. as a forum owner, there would be NO way I'd disappear for days after having doing something SO very controversial .. (first I will say I wouldnt do anything of the sort.. ) of course she would have to know there would be a LOT of people who would be very upset.. so why disappear for days? Knowing that they'd revolt and then there would be reason for mass bannings? Just curious.. maybe Im wrong but I find it quite odd..

My guess is that she was watching and waiting the entire time. The lack of comment is a dead giveaway. It is the old "the dog that did not bark in the night" type of datum.

I would also speculate that she anticipated that there would be some who would vociferously protest the heavy handed action and that she wanted to wait to have a fig leaf of pretext for the bannings. That may have been part of the reason for her big public show announcement on it.

Machiavellian, but then those whom we oppose think Machiavelli was a great man.

He's a hasbara most likely, possibly a college student or bright high schooler. Very immature, vile mannered, and crude, but occaisionally will post something more sophisticated - which I suspect is given to him to post.

If the owner of the site doesn't want such articles then why post them? Why even give such a site the time of day? You can post all your Ron Paul Articles here and on many other mostly censor free forums, so why bother with those that are censoring? They really don't deserve the hits, so forget about them.

Yup there are, by one article I read, a minimum of 40,000 paid posters who visit all types of forums - even Audio Forums where they will bad mouth the competition's gear.

And yes he could be a personality profile operated by more than one person - like yukon.

I was there mainly because it was a battleground site and I, along with a few others, were engaged in combatting the lies being spread from El Pee. No other reason than that and that there were a few sympatico souls with which to struggle.

Because this is bigger than 4um or LP. This is about the candidacy of Ron Paul, and what's happened on LP, if it hurts Ron Paul, can have an impact on the country. That in small part but certainly much more so if it happens over and over again throughout the internet.

No, this goes beyond the confines of LP, and Ron Paul's candidacy is worth crossing immoral boundries and breaking hypocritcal rules -- if in fact that is what the rules truly are.

It's the right thing to do.
